Really smart move on the developers for making Emily be the one to encounter the Wendigo first. A lot of players really hated her and most likely would’ve purposely killed her, but since she’s the first one to see the creature most players will try to save her to keep seeing the monster.
Emily is such a fun character though, her one liners and her slap to Ash was the best part of the game, and with the DLC it shows how she's not really a bitch to the people she cares about make her my fav
@@EH7yearsago It's an extra sub-chapter for chapter 2 focusing on Emily and Matt. Initially, you could only get it by pre-ordering the game, but I think now you can just buy it as DLC or something.
@@yrvjutrtubxsyi Shy guy was a normal human, who was climbing Mount Everest and who later became SCP-096 because of another SCP, can't remember the number tho. If you look up "SCP 096 identity" on YT u should find a video tho, really interesting
That’s why I love this part so much!!! At the start of the game it makes you want Emily to get killed any chance you have, but the game makes her more like able after josh is revealed the killer so now everybody is just rooting for her now, it’s awesome.
3:40 was the best reaction for me. His scream was epic. Also idk whether it was just for the video or not, but I was surprised when so many picked right. My first walkthrough I went with left for two reasons. 1. Because it was the way to the elevator, and 2. Because I've learned from this game to never go straight ahead because that mostly gets you killed, especially the ending scene with Matt and Jess
It's a psychological thing, your dominant hand usually determines the direction you pick. Since most people are right-handed and the decision was timed, they picked right just because it seemed like a _right_ decision.

I like him, not to mention his logical approach to games. He brings more content than reaction like he writes out the blueprint of how to finish a game

I love the fact that it looks like you can change what she is holding. I don’t remember this part of the game very well, but I love that depending on your choices Emily is either holding a torch or a flare.
I feel like it is psychological manipulation. Everything, [Even the perception angle] is leaning and focusing more towards the right, so [Not always but in most cases] you're bound to tell yourself it's the right way to go. No pun intended.
If I were stuck in a post-apocalyptic setting or in any place with monsters, John would be the person I'd want to be stuck with. The man was not fazed by anything!
This would probably be the more terrifying thing to see, a giant skeletal thin corpse like humanoid with spider like limbs and movements, inhumane strength and long claws with razor sharp teeth in the mouth. Not to diss on the idea of wendigos as deer skull creatures, but often people don't use the deer aspect enough to make it creepy. The best horror story I've heard of that variety is one where the wendigo passes off as a very large buck in the distance, then dissapears, leaving only odd deer tracks that seem to have large gaps between prints only for the mc to hear his name called from the trees next to him, seeing the same deer from behind a tree call out Anthony, then walk out as a hidious humanoid thin deer that reeks of death and has human like hands with sharp claws.
I have to comment on the Wendigo's design in this game. There are two different designs for the mythical creature (three if you count Marvel's interpretation). The one in the game is more in line with the classic native american myth. Slender, grey, dead skin and a skull like face. The one seen in most modern media are taller, have fur and a stag head or skull with even antlers. Marvel's look more like yetis with horns and a tail. While the game design is more in line with the classic myth and is definitely creepier, I think I like the stag head design more for looking more imaginative and more an actual monster.
