There's probably enough power in its motors and stuff that it can support its own weight just fine. Y'know, otherwise how could any of the animatronics stay standing upright without external help?
I don’t bring it up in this video, since this is mostly just about the visual design and not behavior. But in my FNaF2 animation I made this model for, I did make sure to be a little more restrained with Mangle defying gravity compared to the game. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kGAYCI-KjIU.htmlsi=lzInmJrFq8hUgww2
In FNAF AR, before Mangle was added to the game there was an Email that released which actually addressed this. The Enginners that made the Replica Mangles were unable to recreate the Originals ability to crawl on walls, despite recreating the mechanics perfectly. This pretty much Confirms that the Original Mangles ability to walk on walls was entirely paranormal
I honestly had the same questions while building my Mangle celling decoration irl... It's all older parts, two left hands, a head with differently coloured eyelids, a stupid round tail, and A SECOND SHOULDER JOINT UNDER THE RIGHT ONE... Glad to see, someone else was starring for hours at his model trying to make sense of her design...
duuuuude what? All that aside, you GOTTA show that off! That could be amazing for a party or smth holy crap I'm so sorry I'm just impressed at that idea
Drawing them is truly a nightmare Edit: ESPECIALLY when trying to make a human version because i don't know what parts are missing that would be reflected in the human body
@@Honeybunny_bun I'd think he could be in an electric wheelchair, barely able to use her legs, a couple prosthetic bits here, some bandages there, maybe an eyepatch with a scar to represent the missing eye? Seems feasible imo
I might be crazy here, but is the sound just a little bit out of sync, like a fraction of a second ahead of the visuals? I'm always paranoid about that, because my previous editing software always put the sound a few frames out of sync, which I had to manually compensate for when rendering. I genuinely can't tell if I'm tricking myself into seeing it here or not, especially because I can only notice it when watching the video on certain devices. It would be a real shame if it is out of sync, because I spent so, so much time on the sound effects, but it's not a big enough deal to warrant taking the video down and re-uploading it.
@@NOT_HEre789 Well, "she" is a Yes gender, so nothing wrong there! But actually isn't Mangle is like... "they but okay with anything else since I'm a MANGLED piece of metal and plastic, hust be comfortable, hun" ?
They are allowed to call mangle a “she” Ladies night and female voice actor she’s most likely a she People can refer to mangle as a boy or girl grow up
Keeping the plastic joints to show how Mangle's limb segments can be easily stuck together is such a genius decision. Love how you included a hook too.
This was a fascinating look into Mangle’s design. Your version looks really good; despite the total design overhaul, it’s still similar enough to Mangle’s original silhouette, and the older parts mixed in with the new were a nice touch. Well done!
This is almost exactly what I think about when I ponder realistic Mangle endo. The hips work a little differently in my iteration but this version is much more accurate to the in game pelvis design. The hip to leg joints being mounted downward first fits with the almost flat pelvic shell. Though the leg splay hinge would likely be flimsy in reality. This has given me quite a bit to think about. Well done as usual.
The king strikes again. Seriously you never fail to amaze me . As a rookie 3d modeler/animator im just FLOORED at the detail into these models and animations go. I know i probably said this before but i cannot stress enough your skill.
Don't forget the "Third eye". It's only seen when Mangle was in their beginning room in FNaF 2 laying on the ground. I suspect that Mangle may have not been messed up by kids, but something else happened to them where some other Endo was mixed into them, but this is just a mini theory of mine.
Wow, it's so beautiful and brilliant, I really like how you make animatronics as if they can be made with your own hands, you should get a lot of popularity
This video is such a treat to view. I think my favorite part is the endoskeleton, every part of it is made to make realistic sense on how it would move, it’s almost hypnotic to watch.
This makes me curious about how they're going to add that factor of realism to Mangle for the 2nd movie. We've already gotten a BTS photo of Mangle being made, but this just makes me all the more curious
I love this so so MUCH. The skill you display in this, there are no words. I have always been fascinated by mangle's design, thought it would be a fun thing to play around with, and to see you try to make sense of it just got me beaming with joy. She's wonderful- perfect, even. And I can't help but think that the design style you chose for her limbs and joints really makes them seem appealing to toddlers disassembling them, they look like they could disconnect and rejoin easily, but that's just me. Small notice but I like the singular limb beside the hook having half the joint plating, really sends home that incomplete, dishevelled look of hers. Incredible!!
When it comes to understanding how endoskeletons work, and figuring out an endoskeleton for Toy-model animatronics, this video is a godsend. Everyone and their mother thinks that Endo-02 is a Toy-model endo, which really makes no sense, but even with all the evidence showing otherwise, many folks still make that mistake. In terms of figuring out Mangle and how they work, you do an absolutely phenomenal job! Heck, this might be one of my favorite interpretations of her! I absolutely love how you used the little parrot stand joint and even the bow holder pin as another way to add another limb!
I took mangles design as something where kids took apart and the employees stopped putting stuff together properly, it got to the points where kids would rip off a leg, then hide it, so an employee would find a replacement, but when they found the hidden leg, they just put it on as well
Beautiful redesign ! Mangle being my favourite Fnaf animatronic I will say your model is fantastic. Yes Mangle is supposed to be a mess but you trying to make it more "realistic" as in believable, is so cool !
i just have to say: i ADORE the fnaf fandom growing up and falling in love with the technical aspects of the games. The animatronics in particular have ALWAYS sparked interest in my little mechanic brain, and seeing you take inspiration from actual animatronics and be so observant as to take the lack of gaps into consideration? it’s awesome. I appreciate every morsel i can get of technical fnaf knowledge.
I like how you did the post-mangled Mangle’s animation, especially with the head. It really makes it look as if the Mangle is kinda struggling to hold up its head which…makes sense since the head (along with the outer shell mask) would probably be the heaviest component on its body.
I certainly like the take of both toy and withered endo parts instead of just toys or just withered I like all these mangles redesigns in there own right
I see what you're probably saying, the added colour sorta makes images like 0:36 harder because the silhouette is more readable? I agree. Though, at the same time I kinda like them. I think it makes Mangle look more "mangled" and less like a fox head stuck to an unrelated endoskeleton.
You did amazing dude!!! I love this so much! hey I was wondering if you could make a realistic spring lock endoskeliton? I've always wondered how it would turn out with the way you make your models realistic!
It's a rearrangement of the score I wrote for my previous FNaF2 animation. I don't have an upload for this new version ready, but here's the first one: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Q08iT2bIAIE.html
I love this, especially with mangle holding it's own head up with his hand! I don't really like the more realistic endo-faces. I really like the original ones, as I feel they're more readable from having more mass, and fit the fnaf style better. But the rest of the new endo looks awesome! I think the main problem with mangle is the principle behind the design being that he was put back together by kids. Like how would small children tear the mangle apart, put it back together, and still have her functional by the end of the day? Those animatronics are put together very, very intentionally, and one slightly wrong move, one wire cut, one wrong piece of plastic broken-off could cause it to completely and utterly die. And that's not even mentioning the electrocution, choking, and other hazards that exist around that. So like- how did they accomplish this? But yeah, I love the design, love the sounds, love the movement! It's all really really cool!
I can't remember if Mangle was meant to be scramblable by toddlers, but it would only make sense if it was intentional. I feel like if I had to redesign Mangle, it would be with plastic "bones" with magnetic fittings and motor "joints," also encased in plastic, including a toy box worth of stick-on accessories and facial features. All the exposed metal doesn't make sense; he should be more Mr. Potato Head and less Terminator.
Cool idea, but the dialogue in the game indicates that it wasn’t an intended feature, just the staff being unwilling and unable to keep up with the daily damage. ‘Kids these days just can’t keep their hands to themselves; the staff literally had to put Foxy back together after every shift. Eventually they just stopped trying.’ Of course, that isn’t enough to make the idea make sense, it still doesn’t stand up to even the slightest scrutiny, but it’s still cool.
Love your stuff, man. Your animations are awesome, but your model showcases are probably my favorite thing on your channel because your redesigns are substantial, but also somehow subtle. You're good at taking what's already there and just making improvements to it all over the board that don't fundamentally change the design, and I think that's a good thing. Keep up the good work!
My only concern is its missing the kinda ridiculous looking but iconic "endoskeleton teeth" seen through out the series. Its one of the only parts of the toy endoskeleton we do see, thanks to toy chica
man I really love what you are doing, those are genuenly the best rework I've seen so far, it just looks so good hell, there is things to learn here even
I think the Endo Head was part of Withered Chica's endoskeleton as the endo of Mr. Cupcake, similar to how in the Rock-Afire Explosion, Rolfe Dewolfe and his hand puppet sidekick Earl had a two-headed endoskeleton, with an endo head where a right arm would usually be.
0:33 Dude, seeing the fully rendered 3D toy animatronics just for the view to slide to a JPEG of Mangle is so accurate. Once you figure out that most of the time she is just a 2D image slapped onto the room renders in Fnaf 2, it’s so surreal to compare him to the actual 3D renders.
Honestly mangle should be lore popular in my opinion, I had this idea once of what if mangle began stealing parts as well as electronics and machinery and became this big monster with multiple legs, a long body kinda like the blob, theirs this fan game called Jr’s where mangle is the animatronic body of the main antagonist, she had a owl tail which I thought was extremely cool and I thought what if mangle had a little animatronic partner that was a owl.
Your take on Mangle's Endoskeleton actually makes perfect sense in this video, Toy animatronics are suppose to be more advanced versions of the original Gang aka Withereds so i think this sums up as one of the best reimaginings i have ever laid my eyes upon.
1:10 Fnaf's animatronics are based off Chuck E Cheese's Cyberamic animatronic, which has a large rectangular head similar to the Fnaf Endos. I'm not saying your design is wrong I'm just pointing out that fnaf's endo's aren't completely made up. Brilliant model btw and the sound effects give it so much life.
This is something i noticed as well ever since I started using Blender. Endo-02, is a very iconic design, yes. But it doesn't fit the Toy animatronics, safe for one, namely Toy Freddy (Fat Bi-) It was clearly designed for the Withereds, the shoe fits and everything. It would've been interesting to have a Endo-03, since, going by Lore logic. The Toys were the state of the art, with facial recognition, sound response, room scanning, and the ability to walk on their own.
It's not implausible that after the conception of Mangle's "attraction", they really did just take a bunch of parts off the older models, scrub the muck off them and leave them in a cardboard box for the kids to apply willy-nilly to Mangle.
I think what most people forget is that Mangle came first before the rest of the Toy animatronics; as in she was a stand in and replacement for (W.) Foxy due to his design being too scary for kids and for the possible bad rep around Foxy because of Mike’s usage of a mask depicting Foxy during the Bite of 83. Therefore Mangle is sorta in between the Withered and Toy Era’s as she was the first of the Toy’s, but utilizing the Withered animatronic structure because she was Foxy’s replacement being set now in Kids Cove, with the name Funtime Foxy. Eventually as we know, Fazbear Entertainment took down the rest of the Withereds and then utilizing designs based on the toy merchandise figures of Freddy and the gang, made the rest of the Toy’s hence why she has a different Endoskeleton compared to the other 3. This video is a perfect concept for a Mangle if Foxy was never decommissioned, and if she was included with the rest of the Toys as part of the redesign
This is so incredible, tho toys should have withereds' endo's, but this one makes so much more sense and I like it better! PEAK video, concept is just amazing
I always theorized that there were actually 2 characters all the way back in kids Cove... some parts got stolen, But most of it it was mangled (get it?)... I have no clue who the other one was but... that's my theory.
Using the word "entropic" when speaking about children ripping Mangle apart is a good one. Entropy will be the end of the Universe, and for anything that can possibly hold any physical presence, children will be the end of it as well. They ruin everything they touch, don't they?
I love this!! These that you do are so fun! I love the visualizations and especially the comparisons between how the shell would fit over the skeleton. I also had no idea Mangle was a Toy animatronic, I thought he (she? Isn’t Mangle a she? I can’t always keep up) was a FunTime!
Mangle is the Foxy counterpart of the Toy animatronic series, but Funtime Foxy in Sister Location has the same white/pink color scheme, so they’re easy to mix up. An easy way to tell the difference is that the Funtime animatronics have seam lines in their faces and limbs. As for Mangle’s gender, that was what was likely just an inconsistency in FNaF2, which was then made into a running joke in response to fans getting into massively overblown fight trying to pin a defined gender on Mangle using obviously contradictory information. To this day, these white/pink Foxy variants use alternating pronouns, much to the delight of many LGBT+ fans.
