I love how you changed them to be more intimidating than scary. They know how big they are compared to you and it's terrifying. Every jumpscare has them either looming over you, kneeling down, or even outright picking you up off your feet.
So if the animatronics are drawn towards the noise then why do they feel the need to crawl through the vents when there is an easily more accessible way that is literally the first thing they see when they walk into that hallway?
For anyone wondering how to parent one of the curve vertices to an object, you need to go into edit mode on the curve and select Control points > Hook > Hook to new object.
