Welcome back to Beren & Luthien! In Part 3 we shall be reading a second extract from what Christopher Tolkien dubbed 'The Lay of Leithian.'
In this extract we see a major reworking of the narrative as Felagund takes Beren and a group of Elves on a mission to investigate the Isle of Werewolves - the domain of Sauron under the guise of Thu the Necromancer. The episode also details the transfer of the rule of Nargothrond from Felagund to Orodreth providing a neat piece of context for those who may remember Orodreth from the Children of Hurin.
The episode ends with a clash between Felagund and Sauron.
