Krell is just SO STINKY

The name Umbara comes from the word umbra which basically means shadow or shade. It's the root of the word "umbrella" which provides shade from the sun. It's also the origin of the Pokémon name Umbreon, a dark type Pokémon.

That is why the 501st Legion was loyal to Anakin. He always fought in front line, risking his life, and didn't ask any of his men to do something he wouldn't have done himself. Reckless, but a leader they followed.

One of my favourite arcs on the show by far. Shows what a vessel for unique stories Clone Wars was by focusing on the period between AOTC and ROTS. Your Star Wars journey has been really interesting to watch

The way Emme refers to characters she doesn't like as "Stinky" reminds me of how Lilo would talk about people she didn't like in Lilo and Stitch XD

First appearance of Clone Sergeant Appo, who will end up commanding the 501st Legion during the Order 66 march on the Jedi Temple in Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith (although his name is never mentioned in the film). The arrow shape on his helmet (which is not on it in Revenge of the Sith) is a nod to the character Appa from Avatar: The last airbender, a series on which supervising director Dave Filoni previously worked. And who was also voiced by Dee Bradley Baker

Plo Koon's death in order 66 is one of the saddest moments in star wars to me because he was one of the top people trying to get clones recognized as humans and would several times go out of his way to save them, and then they kill him

One of the only cool things about Krell are his lightsabers especially when they’re spinning, the sound is so awesome. Side fun thing: Krell is the same species as Obi-WAN’s friend Dex who owns that diner and led Obi-Wan to Kamino in AOTC

The two legged AT-RT that the Clone Troopers ride into battle have their legion number, 501, stenciled onto its side.

They left the Republic after their senator was assassinated. Since Umbara lies within important hyperspace lanes, the Republic will fight to keep it within the Republic. In addition to paranoia, the Umbarans have developed some of the most advanced technology in the galaxy, but it's isolated to Umbara and its militia forces. •The creature on the ground is called a vixus. •The crustacean is a Scutiger-100 Stealth Droid or millicreep droid. •General Krell is a Besalisk, the same species as Dex, Obi-Wan's friend who owns a diner on Coruscant from Attack of the Clones. •In Legends, there are some Jedi who do not trust clones. One, General Rahm Kota (who joined the Jedi Order in his teens and came from a war-torn world), questioned the clones military capabilities and raised his own militia to command during the Clone Wars. This turned out to be beneficial, as no clones meant no Order 66. He and his militia went on to join the Rebel Alliance. •Yes, Krell is the kind a Jedi who uses the clones birth numbers rather than the nicknames they have found for themselves. But credit where it is due; he remembered all their numbers and doesn't mix up clones. •CT-7567 •All Terrain-Recon Transport or AT-RT are the the bi-pedal walkers. •In Krell's defense, modern military commanders always command and coordinate battles from the rear rather than the front so that they can better observe the battle and direct troops accordingly. It's also for the safety of the officers. If the officers die, the chain of command breaks down and battles become hectic. •Indeed they are.

The 2020 anthology book "Star Wars The Clone Wars: Stories of Light and Dark" features a story based on all four parts of the Umbara arc that is told from Rex's point of view. It is written by Yoon Ha Lee and titled "The Shadow of Umbara". The audio-book version is read by Clone Wars voice actor James Arnold Taylor.

During the 'newsreel' sequence that opens the show, Ahsoka Tana and Barriss Offee are briefly seen taking part in the space battle, piloting Jedi Starfighters

Kind of unrelated but the reason why the Jedi's vision is so clouded throughout the war is because the Jedi Temple was built on a Nexus of the Dark Side, it was deactivated long ago but Palpatine reactivated it at some point and the Jedi had forgotten about it because it had be inactive for so many thousands of years.

First appearance of Phase Two Clone helmets for the 501starmor as seen in Star Wars: Revenege of the Sith. Captain Rex wears a unique version, he is still wearing his Phase One helmet, with the new Phase Two chin piece welded onto it. The weld-marks are visible in close-ups.

The Umbara arc! LETS GOO! Some of my favorite moments of heroism happen in these three episodes. And yes, Krel is VERY SUS even for a Jedi. Definitely not as res[ectful as Anakin or Obi-Wan whenit comes to the Clone Troopers and their individualized personalities.

The Umbaran arc is highly remenicent of the Víetnam on so many levels.

This arc came when I was deep in the weeds trying to finish Clone Wars before the airing of Kenobi. I was only half paying attention with all of the action though i completely got some sinister plot by the chancellor after calling Anakin away.

In the german version Krell says "Will jemand mal streicheln" upon killing the flying beasts. This means "Someone wanna pet?" God, I hate this fucking dude. He is awful, although he is geniously written. I love his sabers though.
