This is super cute! All the people I watch that do resin use the isopropyl alcohol. They spray into the mold, they spray after putting the resin in, squish the sides of everything, some have the bubble machine, I can't even remember the name of it 🤦...bubbles are everyone's nemesis! You did a great job!
Shared. Love the box, and the mylar. I've seen some people spray isopropyl alcohol on the resin after filling the mould, or use a micro brush and go all around the edges with it to remove bubbles. I hope this helps!
The mat with the texture is to face the table. If you don’t need it to hold a project steady and a long neck lighter go over lightly to pop the bubbles
Hi! You can try a few things for bubbles. You can let the resin sit for a bit to let the bubbles come to the top (not too long, though, or it will cure in the cups). While it’s sitting, you can spray the top of the resin with isopropyl alcohol every once in a while. You can spray your mold before you pour, too. They will always stick to edges, so doing this helps with that. For the rim of your box mold, you could separate the sides and spray down into it. Alcohol isn’t great for silicone, but I’ve not had any issues this far. Using a heat gun/ hair dryer/ long-neck lighter after poured can help with any bubbles that come up. 😊 Hope that helps! This is a beautiful project! I love the Mylar flakes!
Beautiful work on this! Love the hand painted flowers! I am going to make this as a case for dominos, but I need to know before I pour them which one is the cover. Is it the deeper one or is that the bottom?
