In today’s vlog we head to SeaWorld Orlando to ride some roller coasters!! We also bought an unlimited QuickQue pass and talk a little bit about that and ways to maximize your money with an unlimited QuickQue pass vs. the individual ride QuickQue passes. We were able to ride Kraken, Mako and Manta on this trip and all the rides were awesome!! We also tested out the new GoPro with horizon lock, what did you think? Let us know in the comments down below! We also tried lunch at the new Lakeside Grill quick service food location. This food location was formerly the Spice Mill and has now changed names and menus. LOVED the new effect of the GoPro! I loved how it maintained its upright position and showed how the coaster moved around the viewpoint center. More!! People hating on that effect don't understand how cool it is. Ignore them!

I like it too! As someone who has motion sickness, watching POV videos of rides (even rides I can do in person) can sometimes be difficult because my body is stationary but my brain is picking up motion with the twists and turns on the screen and it confuses my sense of motion to the point I get sick. So, having the horizon be level, I can SEE the effect of the roller coaster, but I'm not affected by it as I sit and watch. It gives me a good sense of "can I do this ride?" if I've never ridden it before. For example, rides that have lots of loops and corkscrews REALLY mess me up watching them, and if I didn't know if a coaster had those elements and I went to find a POV video, I'd get messed up even watching the video. But this way, I can SEE it has corkscrews and loops and be like okay, yeah, avoiding that ride, while also not getting sick watching the POV.

Gotta appreciate how all their roller coasters have a different kind of thrill: Manta has that angle you’re facing. Kraken is just crazy with all its turns. Mako is good if you need some speed. That new one looks like it’ll be really good.

Tim - whatever setting you had your new GoPro on was weird. When you went into a loop the view stayed straight. Threw me off watching that pov. Manta looks like a really cool ride, letting you feel like flying. Wasn't there last time we were at Sea World.

You can lock your direction as well as your horizon but it's really up to the creator on what they think looks good; if you wanna see an example of that check out the SeaWorld video on my channel (I use a GoPro MAX).

Personally, not a huge fan of the horizon feature. I like feeling like I’m actually riding the ride, and it takes away from that experience. So happy to see you back at sea world!!

Same, its a very cool feature, but I prefer the tilt for roller coasters. GoPro really nailed their stabilization with the 7/8/9 cameras though!

Yes, if we wanted a view fixed to the horizon, then roller coasters would be level with no twists and turns. A good video of a coaster shows the world spinning around just like it does when you ride one. He's done dozens of good videos of these coasters so it's no big deal, but that is a really silly feature on that GoPro. Coasterforce has been using it for months and all of those videos are terrible. My DJI drone, which is excellent, has a couple of cheesy video effect options too, but I would never dream of putting them in one of my videos.

Bravo to all Team Members/Cast Members/employees everywhere who clean up bodily fluids as part of their jobs - bet they don't recognized a lot, but you are SO appreciated!! Random plumeria info we just learned. The milky sap can be a skin irritant and can cause a rash, or if ingested can cause you to be sick. We moved into a house with beautiful plumeria and our 4 year old decided to lick the milky sap. He didn’t get much, so he was fine, but wanted to pass on what we learned since you guys have some plumeria. When we told our son not to do that he said, “Well kids don’t know these things. You have to tell us.” 🤣

I feel the same about Kraken as Tim, it's a fun rollercoaster to go on but it can definetly be rough... I feel that Kraken should receive a bit of a refurb such as Hulk did in IoA, especially after all the Kraken Unleashed stuff.

One thing I caution people with when going to SeaWorld, we’re new VIP passholders, and the past three times we went the restaurants and food places all opened up late, like 30 minutes late. It was chaos and a lot of people were really mad as it was the weekend and no where to eat. So if you’re planning on eating lunch, pay attention, and you may just want to wait some time after the location is set to open

i personally like the new gopro setting! although it feels like less of an exact ride pov (since it doesn't necessarily look upside down when you physically are), i feel like everything felt more fluid and smooth, and i think it worked well! :)

Yeah not a fan of the new camera's horizon feature. The stability is great, video was very smooth, but not matching the rider's perspective really takes away from the experience of a ride cam imo. Basically taking a coaster and going, oh, all those twists and turns and inversions you love? Let's get rid of them.

Those are all,flying coasters like Manta is. The one at Six Flags is what they call,a Superman clone model. Manta is a custom design, so it's a little different. It's taller, faster, and a touch more intense, but same concept.

The sky and background on your primary camera were blown out (iso too high). The new GoPro had a great image. The sound was pretty decent as well. The only flaw in the wide view with horizon stabilization setting was that it kept the image right side up even when you went upside down. It also warped the horizon when you went up and down hills. I think that had more to do with the wide-angle than the horizon setting itself. The foreground was really stable, even on Manta. Fun video.

Manta was my first ever roller coaster that went on and I loved it once I got off but really got the loving of coasters after the Kraken Coaster it a bit ruff but love upside down rides and the Kraken Coaster deliver it for me with the 7 times that you are upside down but thanks to the weather I was unable to ride Mako which I wanted to ride I am now a Roller Coaster Junkie I was scared right at first when on Manta but got over it quickly both me along with both of my sisters and my sister in law and my Nephew and Neice all love Roller Coasters my dad use to ride them when my sister's were younger it went on with us because I think a lot of it had to with that first-ever time going on a Roller Coaster but think that it starting to retire from the whole Roller Coasters now because he just turned 66 this past June I still have one of my sister to go on a Roller Coaster now

In my opinion, the Horizon Leveling setting doesn't work well with rollercoasters. That being said, I bet this would be perfect for mounting on your head for going through haunted houses if you didn't want to take your main camera.

The horizon feature is cool BUT my eyes easily trigger my motion sickness so watching throws my eyes for a whirl and not the whirl you'd want HAHA

Very interesting that you experienced the opposite effect from your motion sickness. I for one, enjoyed having the horizon to lock onto and not have to endure the flips and spins of the screen. It was a little strange how the camera wasn't smooth sometimes, but otherwise, it was pretty good!

Hey Tim, the sign has little diamonds to the left of each requirement. If the diamond is NOT shaded in blue, you need a supervising person that’s at least 14 to ride with you. If the diamond IS shaded in blue, they have to be the required height to ride.

Close, but not quite, I think. The blue-shaded diamonds mean that any kid can ride with an adult, as long as they can walk, regardless of their height. However, they have to reach the minimum height before they can ride those same attractions alone. The unshaded diamonds are confusing, as they say an accompanying adult “may” be required…which, if you think about it, doesn’t really tell you anything either way. Regardless, the minimum height IS always required for those. So, Jackson could ride Abby’s Flower Tower, Cookie Drop, Sea Carousel and Slimey’s Slider, if accompanied. He can’t ride Infinity Falls or Journey to Atlantis.

Empire is not running the actual ride right now youre just waiting to see the penguins. Went on 6/21 and it said 80 min, we waited like 10 but just to see the penguins and no explanation... very strange

Whenever we saw those Brazilian tour groups at Disney we would go the other way. They take up so much of the lines at any park and it gets really annoying when they chant through the whole line.

We were there probably the same day as you. The penguin ride is stuck at 80 minutes. The clock is broken. But we waited 40 minutes and there was no ride. It was just walking through the penguins.

The times I've gone, the wait time was working. They did away with the ride when Covid started last year. Probably won't bring it back from what I've been hearing.

U paid 79 Dollars we got caught Like that we paid to fast track not again they were Letting people through who had not paid to fast track in groups thinking no.one will notice. We did what a rip off not worth doing. and they were not interested. Got your money 💰 tough Luck 💪.

The new GoPro mode was really cool! There are countless standard POV videos on RU-vid. And, frankly, I got tired of them a while ago. Static POV makes every coaster pretty much feel the same. On regular videos, you feel like you are sitting still and the world moves around you, which is not how it really is of course. But, in this mode, you can get a better feel of turns and angles. YOU are moving within the world. I’m excited for more coaster videos in this mode! Please keep using it! :)

I agree. It felt like I was going to fly off the ride a few times, which is a hard feeling to replicate through the video. I really enjoyed it and I didn't lose perspective of what the ride was doing while getting a view of only the sky.

I believe the reason why the new roller coasters at all seaworlds and gwazi at busch gardens aren’t open is cause they are in a lawsuit with the roller coaster companies for not paying them.
