Roasting peanuts or groundnuts and plantain is easier than you think and you can enjoy your favorite Ghanaian street food in the comfort of your home in few minutes. Today I am sharing my mum's recipe on how you can roast your groundnut both for home use and commercial purpose. Traditionally we roasted our peanuts with sand and we all bear witness to how one could bite into gravels or sand some times when we buy it from some vendors on the street. This recipe will show you an alternative way of roasting groundnuts without sand. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
INGREDIENTS:
Raw peanuts or groundnuts
Riped plantains( Use unripe if you don't like it sugary)
Water
Salt to taste
Temperature for Peanuts or groundnut
350°F or 180°C for 15 min depending on quantity
Temperature for Ripe Plantain
350° F or 180°C for 20 min, make sure to be checking intermittently
