No it doesn't. Other f2p hero shooters actually have doorways their hitboxes can fit through. Condor or w/e it's called decided to go with the bold move allowing the choice between three types of player sizes. "2 story tall round peg square hole", "Brown Boogie 2988 innnnnns spppaaaaaace", and "we heard release kiriko was impossible to hit, hold my beer". Then it make it worse, decided "yeah.... low gravity would make all their movement feel better!"
they already said all post launch content will be free only thing there will be is certain cosmetics if people wanna spend more but personally i'd rather just spend $40 and not have to deal with battle passes and $20 skins and cheaters but yall just looking hate on it regardless
@@MuMasoothe studio will be closed down before that I hate to think how much Sony paid for the studio and hate to think how much it cost to make as well all that money down drain
"Guys, I've got a totally great idea that will make us different despite looking like every single other hero shooter " "Yes, what?" "Well, how about....the health bar goes right to left instead of the normal left to right"
The culture that needs to change too, not just the games itself. So many people form opinions on games based entirely on their favorite internet personality's opinion of it. Does this game look bland? Yes. But everyone on here is treating it like its Atari ET or some sh!t.. which is the same they've done with countless other games in the past few years. The internet just decides it doesnt like a thing, and everyone just follows suit rather than doing any real effort to form their own opinion. And this medium even has the best form of "trying it out" in demos, yet really all it takes is someone making a video titled "games garbage" and watching it is all the effort they need to do.
The only reset gaming needs is less toxic complainers. There's so many good variety of games yet yall choose to just complain on the internet. If its not for you then just move on and go play something else?
@@OldManRiv3rthe trailer sucked donkey butt and i still bought it because i read comments like yours, guess what? I regret not listening to the dumb youtubers because im down $40
This game is honestly so fun especially once you get the movement down but the trendy sheep thing to do is just hate on it before you even give it a chance I guess.
9:42 “Set your expectations. Low. And prepare to be disappointed.” Wow. They’re already predicting the reviews for this game before they even come out.
Danm. 😅 They should've gone with a better intro than that. It gives off that vibe, huh? Like some dev snuck that in there to let players know what to expect. 😆 This is already a good meme.
I would try it out if it was F2P, its beyond me that they made it P2P. Like this game would've actually stood a chance if it was free, its going to be lawbreakers all over again, except with no fun movement...
Honestly even F2P this would be a flop, but maybe they would get enough money through microtransactions to break even. But with it being P2P, its completely doomed.
@@Raxus001 I agree, mostly talking about the launch fiasco this will be because of the monetization scheme they chose. 40 DOLLARS for a HERO SHOOTER in 2024!? Bruh
I look at the "hero" "roster" and it's literally just like Guy - Guy - Chick - Guy - Chick - Helmet - Guy (green) - Chick - Robot - Guy Literally 0 character what so ever
Literally half the reason that most media that's in space is in space is the limitless character design potential. Why did they just make all the characters (except maybe the mushroom guy, but he's still really uninspired looking) just people in homemade costumes
Sometimes I think about how the elderly would say stuff like "How is that game any fun?" or "This looks like a waste of time" when they see us playing games. Now I wonder if this is how they felt.
You know it's funny to think, this is the game that made Sony want to acquire Firewalk studios. They saw this and were like, "yeah, this is exactly what we're looking for from our first party line up"
I hate the animations for character select, its like a 2 second animation followed by the longest uncanny valley idle animation ever, its so off putting.
you'd rather want battlepasses every month and $20 skins jammed down your throat? The f2p model has truly rotted gamer's brains man there is nothing wrong with this game costing $40.
The sad thing is this game has amazing potential it looks amazing and the characters have interesting inspired designs but the live service micro transactions are killing it if it was just a flat fee and they released a good balanced game everyone would be happy
I guarantee you 90% of the people shitting on the game haven't actually played it. Hopefully when the open beta comes out next week, where anyone can play it for free, they'll actually give it a chance, cause I personally had a blast playing it. Also, the people calling this generic-looking are actually brain-dead. How could anyone ever think games like XDefiant look less generic than this???
@@3JAD21I believe you are right. I’m playing it with two of my buddies and it’s been nothing but fun. A few nitpicks here and there but it’s a beta! It’s not gonna be at its peak but it’s still good. I have high hopes.
The real question is whether it's going to tank before or after SSKJL. In just 5 months SSKJL is now free-to-play on some platforms so that should be a good benchmark.
@@buggart I predict it'll outlast SSKJL but will go F2P after a couple months then be kept on life support until server costs outweigh what's being made from microtransactions. SSKJL's player peak on Steam for the last 3 months was about 650, that game is deader than the Justice League.
@@realdoomerhours New challenge then! Will Concord's player count going to be higher than SSKJL in 3 months or will it be lower. The Player Count should be higher than 700 for a week to be considered a winner.
@@buggart Now that is a tough one! Unless it goes free to play I don't think it'll do better numbers than SSKJL. That game had the benefit of well known DC characters and still flopped; charging money for these generic Guardians of the Galaxy knock-offs can surely only go worse.
I don’t even think the game is that slow… it’s the character abilities and weapons damage that kills it. Also the maps are not great If you’re going to have characters with set abilities AND weapon loadouts like overwatch then each character should be able to crush certain characters and crumble against others. I also don’t get why different characters have different walk/sprint speeds instead of giving characters better mobility than others through their abilities. This game has more balancing issues than an elephant walking on a thin rope
This is not a "videogame" in the true sense but rather a corpo product through and through. Meticulously put together to reach maximum user reach. It's sad asf...
It literally is a video game, but sure, just make up nonsense for likes. Almost all AAA games fit your description. It's hardly like giant companies are in it to make niche products. Obviously that's what indie studios are for.
Idk if you would consider xdefiant a hero shooter, but I’ve been playing for the last month or 2 and really enjoying it for being F2P, hasn’t gotten overly predatory yet.
Just wait till the microtransactions start rolling in. This is why everybody fails at making a Fortnite lookalike/competition, because they don't have the balls to make it F2P.
It’s literally great. It’s just crazy people wanting to hate on something because they’ve been so conditioned to be divided and become tribal. So now you’re on the tribe of hating on FPS is that are competitive probably because you’ve never been good at them.
@@Santiago3435. you’re literally the minority the majority of people don’t see a generic game. You can hate on things because moist told you to, but you’re not going to be right.
I’ve seen a lot worse games then this one but it is pretty much valorant with some small changes, the game would be drastically better if it was free or $4.99😭
It's a hero shooter with a roster of like 20 different characters, but all the promos are focusing on the same 5 like it's a guardians of the galaxy ripoff. It's another game with no direction
I thought this was another of those free live service slop games, but apparently, this uninspired piece of shit costs $40. I wouldn't even play this game if it were free. If the devs behind Concord go bankrupt in a few months from now, I won't even be slightly surprised.
