It was great, when JP gets involved it's only because he is gaging what is happening in society as a whole. To choose this song to react to means that he has noticed something that has an impact in its messaging. Besides that Ben has a stake in JP's life and returning a favor in respect towards Ben I'm sure was appreciated. He also knows Tom as a great ex Canadian and respects the path that Tom has taken.

However he said he was too vicious in his original version and worked with Tom to tune it down for the final release of the song. Great reaction! Great song...and I never thought that ever in my fairly (so far) long life I'd be saying something like that about rap! But Tom and Adam and Dax made me re-think my feelings there. It's fun to listen to, and watch, for lots of reasons. But Tom hits the high (or low) points of our world really well, and Ben's part was really cool! Relevant and factual, as Ben is. He said that he and Tom went over his lyrics a few times before getting it done. Apparently Ben was wanting to go with some stuff that was harsher, and Tom got him to knock it back some. I've heard some people saying that Tom's wording on flags "all" being replaced isn't true, and if you're talking about personal, individually owned, American flags, those folks are right. The owners of those flags haven't replaced them. But I'm pretty sure he's talking about government or corporate-owned American flags being given the back seat to the "virtue signaling" BLM or Rainbow flags. That, to me, is disgusting. Ben did write his own verse and he did rap....tom made it clear it was not A.I. Ben also said when he sent tom his Verse it was brutal.. .even tom said he had to tone it down a bit ..lol ..so that's saying something 😂

Not only was this originally Ben's idea but Ben wrote his part (using comments from his twitter feed) and said his first draft was way more "vicious" which means Tom had to help him walk it back...lol

Check out Molly Hatchet Flirtin with Disaster please! I've heard someone describe their sound if Lynyrd Skynyrd and Rush had a baby. Every song on their first 2 albums are phenomenal! Thanks!
