They edited the app. Can't call it an "upgrade". It's more like a "downgrade". The app no longer shows the information about the cells and it no longer shows the cycle count - and the scan feature does NOT automatically connect to the battery; it merely causes all my Vestwood batteries to show up for me to select from just like the Blue tooth search feature. Also beware that if you don't "disconnect" the app from the battery you are looking at before you close out the app, it can trip up the blue tooth so that you cannot reconnect to see that battery again. I am still building my system so I have not been able to test THIS, but I have seen a note in my research into the blue tooth problem that if the battery gets low enough (like 20%), that it will shut off the blue tooth module. I am hoping that once I get my system completed, that I will be able to do this to regain blue tooth access to the two batteries that as of right now I have no ability to access due to having "shut down the app without previously disconnecting". So MAYBE this blue tooth disconnect issue can get fixed. But even if I ever can find a way to reconnect to those two batteries that are in blue tooth purgatory, why the F would they REMOVE the ability to see cell data or cycle counts??? And you can't connect to a particular battery just by scanning it anymore? Also disappointed by this video that it appears you can't get the full advertised capacity. Again, because I am still working on my system, I don't know for sure how far down I can get on MY batteries. BTW, my batteries are 12v200ah "PLUS" (the video was showing 12v250ah "ultra", which is supposed to be a step UP by permitting the 200 amp charge and discharge rates. The "plus version" that I have is supposed to have a 100 amp charge/discharge maximum. I am fine with that as it is what I purchased and I knew that going in. But the loss of blue tooth "scanning = autoconnect", loss of cell-monitoring and cycle count, and the ease with which you can accidentally lose a battery's blue tooth into what i call "blue tooth purgatory" is BS - not to mention that if I can't actually use the full 200ah on each battery, this would likewise be disappointing. Not fatal in that I purchased enough that I actually intend to never get below about 60% DoD, but still, if I ever NEED it, it would be nice to actually have access to full rated capacity. Positives? Even as of a couple of days ago (July 11, 2023), Vestwoods has THE CHEAPEST battery per (marketed) watt-hour on Amazon. But in light of it not being able to go full marketed capacity, this would make it far less competitive than others. So maybe a positive; maybe not. Another positive is the cold-temp protection. This is legit and as advertised. Another positive is the ease of carrying them. The cords on the side are better than the carry options for many other batteries on the market. Many use this feature, but not all, and the corded handles are a good thing. Another positive is the ease of use of the terminals. When I used my charger to get them all up to full capacity, this was noticeable and considerably better than the terminals on some other batteries I have worked with in the past. Not sure if this is now a standard thing for most companies - I kind of think it is. But regardless, the bolts and the terminals work well together and it is easy to make sure you are getting a solid connection to the wires you hook up to it. One more negative not discussed above... The amazon page says you can do 4s4p - and said that even for the 12v200ah PLUS model I bought at the time I bought it. The "instruction card" that comes with the batteries when you open the box? It says no more than 4s OR 4p OR 2s2p. Unfortunately, the system I am building MUST be at least 4s2p and should be 4s3p. I'll use buss bars for the parallel connections and just hope it works out. Otherwise, there are a lot of faults as per listed above and in this video. Would I buy Vestwoods again? Sort of. It is ideal to have a system that has all the batteries being the same and I was originally hoping to eventually expand my system to be 4s4p. But now I can't find 12v200 PLUS anywhere so the 12 I have is going to be all I do here. Also, my system is really dedicated to a single purpose and I will probably build a couple of smaller solar battery systems eventually anyways. Since I can't find the 12-200 PLUS anymore, I will ultimately just repurpose these batteries to those smaller systems so I can stay within the "instruction card" recommendations of no more than 4 of these in a single bank. Eventually with 3 smaller systems that are each 24v400ah (4 batteries in 2s2p). And rebuild my main system with a different battery that by the time I can afford to do this won't have the same limitations as mentioned above. So would I buy Vestwoods? Yes if I could find the same 12200 PLUS that I have now; I would buy exactly 4 more of them - especially if Vestwoods could tell me the insert is wrong and that the ad on Amazon was right and that they can be put into 4s4p. Also yes I would buy Vestwoods again IF they made a couple other changes... If the blue tooth disconnect problem gets fixed AND the cell info comes back AND the cycle count comes back, then YES, even when I build my 3 smaller systems, I would end up probably repurposing my current batteries and then go with the current high-ah batteries being marketed (12250 or higher?) and hook them up as 4s4p for my main system. I doubt I will EVER need that main system to have more than 15kwh in capacity, but because I simply CANNOT have that primary system ever run dry, I will always upsize the battery bank to whatever this highest capacity cheapest config I can find is. BTW, I posted about these APP problems in a comment on the Android App store. No comment back by Vestwoods. Lots of complaints in the app store about these things. They never respond. Average star rating is UNDER 2 stars. Look up "Pow Bank".

Another awesome video ! We have 2 of those batteries in parallel on our solar system and are still learning the limits of each component.

I never let my batteries get below 30% anyway so as far as I'm concerned for the price all is well lol

I decided to buy one and it arrived today. I am still messing around trying to get my epever solar controller set up for it. Struggling with their software to be able to program my solar controller. The other problem I am facing now is no bluetooth signal from the battery. I know I have the battery awake as its showing 13.3 volts on my monitor. I liked the battery features for the price and the warranty. The other thing was they have a decent warranty.

After a year of use with the Vestwoods battery my epever controller messed up. Luckily it didn't hurt the battery. I bought a Victron to replace it. For me controller wise I am going to switch out my other controllers to Victron. So much nicer to set up and monitor.

I have the 12v 100AH battery and did a dc 18amp test and pulled 105ah , hard pulles converting over to A/C are not the rating battery manufactures are posting. Set conditions are what they are proclaiming to be the battery Amp hours.thats like Tesla saying the car goes 400 miles on a charge and you only get 350 miles and then complain about it. The 250 is under test conditions. Go hate on Tesla! or do the same test that they use to determin the capacity.

Can that geandle inverter be paired with a second for 120 240.volts I'm looking at going solar and that means starting with 120 volts and as finances allow upgrade to 120 240.volts split phase power so I can go heat pump water heater and eventually heat pump dryer both of which require 240.volts to run the compressor I'f I can't find a inverter that can be upgraded to 120 240.volts split phase power then heat pump water heater and heat pump dryer are not feasible unless they eventually come out with a 120 volt unit

Have you tried the champion 200ah lithium and if so how does it compare?

I did not try the champion 200ah lithium, but if you want to compare about more batteries, you can watch will's video, the link is ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KvCdo0cs99w.html
