WOW! This week's video was super. Such a variety I live in a city and used to go to state land and camp to observe nature but now get more wildlife right where I live. Walking my dog one night, out of the side of my eye I saw movement. I crossed the road and on the sidewalk was a tiny owl. It must have been looking for insects. Didn't seem fearful. Nature is amazing.
It's always a joy to watch the birds in your ponds. The juvenile cooper's hawk was a spectacular capture, and the rose of sharon hibiscus flowers near the end were beautiful, hummingbirds liked their nectar too!
The hummingbirds really love that Rose of Sharon. The electric wire leading into the house runs right next to it and the hummingbirds take breaks on the wire in between feasting on the flowers. Thanks for watching and have a great week!
This was great!! Some wonderful footage. I've never seen that many hummingbirds at once. I'm on a mission to create lots of natural food habitat for the birds 😊. Loved the owl. It just sort of waddled in the water 😁. And the hawk!! Just amazing!! Really enjoyed this episode, and seeing how things have evolved. Thanks!! Hope the heavy rains of the coming hurricane don't extend out as far as your area. We had heavy rains here for a solid week and just now getting dried up from it. Take care and have a lovely week. 🥰🌿♥️
The owl did kind of waddle around 😄 I like that there’s a night shift making use of the pool. I think (hope) the hurricane rains stay to the east of us. We could use some drying out time. Have a great week and thanks for watching!
No, that one is gone. It had problems with algae. Not sure if it was because there wasn’t enough water movement or because it was in fun sun. Probably a little bit of both.
