Jon Bon Jovi is a great humanitarian. Here in Philly he started a very low rent apartment building that also has assistance offices to help people get jobs and such. In his home of New Jersey he has a few restaurants where people can pay what they can or work off their meal in the restaurant. At the beginning of the pandemic he wrote a song about essential workers using lyrics sent in by fans.

One of the greatest bands of all time. So many songs for you to listen to. Also Jon and his wife do alot of charity work. They have the JBJ foundation. You should watch one of their interviews about the work they do.

Bon Jovi is amazing to see live. I've seen them about 10 times in concert. It's an incredible moment when you have 20,000 people singing "Ohhh Oh! Living on a Prayer" at the same time. I was so upset when the pandemic happened as I had tickets to see them twice at two different venues and everything got canceled.

I know I'll be the millionth person to recommend this song but I'd definitely recommend Wanted Dead or Alive because it's just iconic & such a mood!!! Love Bon Jovi but if I'd had to pick another one to listen to, it would be that song! Blaze of Glory is also phenomenal

It can’t be stated enough what a massive hit this was back in the 80’s. You can really hear Bruce Springsteen’s influence on Jon’s lyrics in this song. This was all over Mtv back then, back when they played music videos.

The singer is Jon Bon Jovi and it's his band. Richie Sambora is the lead guitarist that also used a talk box in this video for that sound you couldn't describe. Watch the video again and you will see a tube on Richie's mic stand. A talk box makes interesting sounds with the mouth which is also connected to the guitar.

If you were a teenager in the eighties, it's impossible to you haven't heard this song at least a hundred times! :) They were big back then.

I live all the up in the “ sticks” lol, Montana, I was lucky enough to see them twice. Their concerts are beyond EPIC!! They were all great showmen. My favorite Jon Bon Jovi quote of all time. Justin Beiber was showing up to his concerts sometimes hours late. Jon took to social media and said “GET YOUR EFFING ASS TO WORK. These people paid a lot of money to see a show!! When they entered the stage they all had booze (Jack Daniels and beer) the drank and showed off. When KISS entered the stage Gene and Paul of KISS opened one bottle of sparkling water each, just to prove the point that You don't have to be dru K to perform. Funny memory. 😂😅😊

When we were kids back then we’d sub our friends names in for tommy and Gina. Lol. We were goofs! I remember waiting all day listening to rock radio for this song on a sat or Sunday with my finger on the record button on my little boombox so I could hear it again and again. This. Yes Jon Bon Jovi is still very popular. My daughter was in the 11th grade in 1990 when she went to her first concert of his. She has been to I don't know how many more. She will be 50 this Friday. Her favorite band! Mine too and I'm 71! Loved watching you two enjoy it so much!

Bon Jovi uses a talk box to create that unique sound that was used a lot in the 70's and 80's. A lot of people don't understand what it is, basically the guitar sound is sent through a tube that the singer has in his mouth, and he articulates the sound using his mouth with either word shaping or just bends the sound, the mic picks it up and that's what creates that great sound.

The Bon Jovi video for “Dead or Alive” is an A+. A great chill rock song that stands the test of time.

The Kings of arena rock back in the 80-s. I saw Bon Jovi in 1984 opening up for Kiss in Stockholm and 2 years later when they were headlining in support of their Slippery when wet album, opening for Bon Jovi in 1986 was Queensryche :)

Hell yeah, I saw The Slippery when Wet concert at Irvine Meadows outdoor theater. Jon Bon Jovi flew right in front of us in the cheap seats and my 13 year old daughter was in love..

So I was on an absolute full bus in Ocean City, Maryland after the club called secrets closed, and I started singing this song on the bus, and my cousin put his head in his hands because he thought I was about to embarrass myself, but the next thing you know, every single person on the bus was singing along. It was pretty awesome.

I was stationed at Seneca Army Depot in New York when I went to my first concert. It was Bon Jovi opening for the Scorpions in Rochester, NY. in June 1984 just a few months after Bon Jovi had released their debut album. It was a great concert!

I live in New Jersey and have never seen Bon Jovi live. He actually lives about 5 miles or so from where I live, and have been past his riverfront mansion a number of times. Thar said, he played at a number of clubs in the Jersey Shore area over the years, concerts at Giants stadium as well. At that time I spent time at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park watching Springsteen or Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes.

I love that Sam is in her own little world. Lost in the song. There's some songs so massive you have to have heard them, and not know it. Living on a prayer is one of those songs.

I saw them in Munich almost exactly 4 years ago. Was amazing, even though Jon does have problems with his voice nowadays. But the whole atmosphere was awesome (also awesome crowd). Will never forget it. It was my first stadium concert. :D

There is a great rock hard rock and metal scene out of Japan the last decade. My favorite is a rock/hardrock group called Band Maid. Five phenomenally talented beautiful incredible musicians. But being you just reacted to a Bon Jovi song here. I'm going to recommend to you guys this Japanese five-piece all female group called Nemophilia. They are mostly a metal band. But they have done covers of classic rock songs in the past. Here's a few I would suggest. We will start with a bon Jovi song, Bad Name. Although I am not a fan of the rock group Kiss. They do a great version in studio with makeup. To the kiss classic song, Detroit Rock City. Then check out their amazing version of the journey classic, from the 1980s called Separate Ways. They do their best to reenact the classic video from that era and group. And finally a great song by them. Which is a cover of a Japanese band's song. A man walked up to her demanding her tickets at gun point, security close by but didn't do anything, stepdad comes and chases the would be thief off. They got escorted to front row seats by security.

I was in 7th grade when this came out and all the girls in my school went nuts for Bon Jovi. This was an image that was hard to compete with at age 13.

I grew up in the 70's and 80's. One thing I notice is when you watch Bon Jovi - the light heartedness in their mannerisms, theatrics, and how they carry themselves which is to say not seriously. That type of thing died in 1999 after Columbine. That impacted music as well as vast other areas of life. But music specifically would never be the same since the world became a lot more serious. I truly miss the 80's, I watched the first moon walk by MJ, I watched the first video on MTV, and the stardom of Guns N Roses (greatest album of rock history), and can tell you no one who did not live in the era knows how great it was.

It took me almost 20 years to really start appreciating The '80s Rock growing up listening to rock and roll music between 65 and 78 this was a huge step sideways that I wasn't ready for my old age of appreciated a lot more the pop that was born out of the seventies rock but even in the 80s it was always a little light for me John Cougar Mellencamp Dire Straits and metal was really coming into its own but because of this pop music I learned to enjoy Outlaw country came a great fan of David Allan Coe Hank Williams Jr Willie Nelson Johnny Cash Waylon Jennings and the outlaw Folk rock like John Prine Steve Earle Guy Clark and Townes Van Zandt was awesome but I wonder Bon Jovi is fun sung a lot of hits

This is the kind of song that gets played in grocery stores. Just there, faintly, in the background, where the chorus can jump out at you. Plus I think this song was in Guitar Hero? One of those video games, anyway - my kids were playing it and I was surprised to recognize the song :) And if you do hear the verses, there's an emotional story that people resonate with - going through hard times with almost nothing except the person you love. That's probably why it's popular at weddings - it's about a young couple sticking together for poorer, hoping to someday get richer :)
