My friend playing green aggro in despair rn XD About the responses under the posts, I am upset with the ones that are not even related to banning or hitting cards. It's a bit sad to see, especially since many people were waiting for this and when an opportunity is given to them they just lash out random comments. About drawing, we will see more in the future of that and in all colors, each with their personal gimmick (we can already see green having 2 examples with Tokiwa double symbol and the cat of TP06). Ramping is kind of the resource that "will not be increased" as the draw will, with each color keeping the same "ratio" of ramping they had (probably it will increase but it will kept between the boundaries of the color): Red recovers the cores from the trash, Purple does ramp a little bit on boss cards but generally does not gain cores at all, Yellow, Blue even White ramp a bit and will get a bit more always via their peculiar gimmicks. And last but not least, Green, which will just farm those cores while its draw power will be contained. Aggro in general, it will fall off as a tactic in the future, probably, if we go look at the direction of the older game and how BSS improved on it probably it will happen, at least imo. But anyway, Ants Strike Back, yes that is a really strong card and if you hit it you will hit hard green aggro (not a problem with that) and will not hurt too much green since the strategies rn are more aimed to mixing it in Blue. I would say it is a bit ahead of its time, like the Burst Nexus. Both nice surprises, but yes. Still I do not believe they will be touched unless Bandai thinks "well, if we hit those colors this way then green aggro may be too much" xD Valkyrie would be a nice hit to white control (and aggro too), it can bounce a lot of cards as you said, and it is super cheap. Its cost makes it also a super easy to summon sacrifice for Tiger (even as reduction for it) and in the meantime, again, bounces another piece that maybe even Tiger couldn't. 7 really is a STRONG cost to hit. Hitting her wouldn't be a bad choice at all. If we have to hit all meta decks (which we kind of do) she is probably the best. In this set we already get another really good Valkyrie which works really well with Calista so on that side it doesn't really loses that much. It trades a bounce of 7 for all the effects of this new Valk which are good, while reducing a bit the pressure of White Control which was probably the 3rd best deck during bss04 meta and also hits aggro which is a family of deck that, from the many people near me, received quite a bit of frustrated comments even from good players Xd About Pollon, I am ok, I have the new cost 3 astral :D (also this girl will be really good on decks going around the Trash) (and I just saw you talking about it, gj :3) Seriously tho, yes she has a really strong effect that can easily fall into situation like those right there. "it is not her thing to make this whole broken thing more consistent, but it has become her thing to make this whole broken thing more consistent". The thing that distracts from Pollon is that mostly we stop at the first problem like Hydra or Labrynth, especially this last one where many may just go "well, it is not pollon that is broken, is the nexus which has so good effects because it summons Hydra without Ascend cost/ramps". And tbh I heard a lot of complaints on the ramp too, but yes that Nexus Lv2 and how it works is pretty wild considering that some Ascend do not have limitations in their effects like others do. But rn, going around mechanics, since we are still in a kind of "early" stage of the game, for free, is too much. Latest Ascend do not have limitations depending on what you Tribute. Yes, obviously it will become more problematic as we go on with the game, especially if the rest of colors do not get as much free things as them XD :p The deck you talked about came 2nd at Milan GT, did not win, lost to WILLIE Ira. It was White/Blue with the Eva Angel boss too, not really a pile of cards tho
I read all this, and I A) really appreciate the time you took to write out very thoughtful points. B) I appreciate you even typing this much in a 'comment' section of all places. Good points all around, and ya Seabed was mainly brought up for the fact if the Big Bang change doesn't 'happen' the ability to clear a board AND lock the opponent out from a response is pretty wild. Has that always happened to everyone? No, but it's the set up that can make that card very annoying to stare at from across the table. Will it get touched? Probably not. But still brought it up. So we agree there too. I very much agree too with your 'we are in the early stages'. I feel like lots of players forget we have 1 year + CB release and barely onto set 6. Our 'tools' and built out diversity in archetype aren't 'all there' yeeeeeet. So things can always come back too, time and a place ^_^
@@RPGZieg_TCG Now that i think about It, I was a victim/saw once someone getting board wiper by one Ira and without nexuses/the right ones and seabed there locking out the magics xD I can not wait tò see how they Will evolve the color combinations in bss06 (Purple+White ready tò smash everything) and especially the half spoilered box Topper having all 6 colors by default
If it was written differently, that on burst, and something else on Main/Flash sure. Again, I'm just learning about this thing and I'm like "nah, doesn't share the same written vocab as everything else." If we get more like that, I'd be chillin but we don't. Is it an outlier and breaking the game, smashing tournament scenes? No. Formatted differently than anything else? Yes. That's my only thing with it.
@@RPGZieg_TCG I also disagree with your take on aggro. Aggro wouldn't be played as much if Hydra/Ira gets hit, especially since Yellow will shine hard if both get hit
@@BlazeWheeler and that's fine to have a separate opinion. Mine is not the only one. Genbu was on my list to talk about, but it invokes so much rage in me HAHA. I tried just hitting the logical perspective here and not anything emotionally triggering. But ya, Normal Genbu is whack-a-do imo.
