Let's Talk About Crossing the Street 

This video was created to help students with varying communication and developmental disabilities learn how to cross the street safely. For many students who have never been taught to cross the street, they become reliant on others to know the various steps.
The video is broken into two sections. One section on how to cross with crosswalk sign and one section with a pedestrian push button. For many individuals with developmental disabilities, learning how to cross the street with the pedestrian push button can be ideal because it will tell you exactly when to walk versus a crosswalk, which can be dangerous at times.
Watch this video and then go out in the community to practice the steps.
To use this video optimally, stop and pause the video. Read the sentences together and then discuss each steps.
