Hope you'll all enjoy this shorter video of mine, while I'm working on a larger project which I hope to finish this weekend! I apologize if the route prediction section is hard to follow, I didn't really know how to make it flow smoothly! What are your thoughts on Madrid Drive? Let me know down below!
I'd say Madrid Drive should be in the Spiny Cup as Spain is on the Coast of Europe / Mediterranean Sea, so the Spiny is a Shell which you find out at Sea and on Beaches.
I’m happy that Madrid is in Wave 6. Rome Avanti fits well in the Acorn Cup. Its atmosphere is pretty relaxing and fits a calm before storm well. It wouldn’t be a good final track. Madrid Drive feels so epic as an upbeat send-off to the city tracks, but also a great introduction to the finale of the BCP.
I think Madrid will be the Acorn Cup Opener (may change with the layout and full music). It kinda is like Athens when it is very energetic and, in turn, would be a great Wave opener, to get people hyped for the future tracks.
@@MarioandJuliusSame haha but I’ve found it funny how Nintendo is naming their latest courses like the 2 piranha plant courses and now just Madrid Drive, like NO WAY MARIO IS DRIVING😱 lol. If the next game was actually called Mario Kart Drive tho I think it would be hilarious to stick with that trend and for a sequel I would title the game Mario Kart: They’re Still Driving😂, 10/10 name right there!
They are just working what they have for the tour course, cramming them in. Rome is probably unavailable hence they have to put Amsterdam in wave 4 so difficulty doesn’t matter for these ones. Madrid, PPC and PPP are locked in for wave 6 because we are so close to September that wave 6 is in testing phase now.
Before I knew the name of the track name,I thought the name “Madrid drive” sounded quite fun but I didn’t know it would be the actual NAME OF THE TRACK!
I've always felt like Rome would be in the Spiny Cup since it is set at night which would symbolize the end of the pass. But after seeing all of Madrid's interesting elements, it could really go either way.
I wanted a Pittsburgh track called Pittsburgh Bridges N’At. I grew up in Pittsburgh, so it would’ve been a blast if done right! The City of Bridges really needs Justice to be served. If adding classic yinzer stuff it could be unique. Many giant bridges with different obstacles. Heinz Field, PNC Park would be awesome. Here in Pittsburgh, we have a restaurant called Pramanti Bros. They have sandwiches with French fries and coleslaw on them. Having giant Pramanti sandwiches in the bridge would be so goofy but unapologetically yinzer. We have a festival called Picklesburgh, so pickles would be fun. All this happening with a concert of someone like Pauline in PNC Park. A glider section over the 3 rivers and Heinz Field would bring tears to my eyes. As for the name “N’At” is an infamous Yinzer (people from Pittsburgh) slang. Oh and not to forget Chargin’ Chucks in black and gold Steeler jerseys. I’m sad this doesn’t exist, but a man can dream!
Tour really has come a long way and had a very healthy lifespan so far for a Mario Kart game (and won't be able to fill all the RXs & gaps by the 4th anniversary without madness), but let's hope we see some new id gaps in the 4th anniversary update so that we can finally get Rio City, Cairo Street, SNES MC4, and Piranha Plant Sprint.
The fact that the dlc is ending soon makes me sad because we might not get anymore tour city courses. (I actually really like most of the city courses)
1:17 You gotta ❤️ Albert Borris’ evil twin brother. My favorite appearance he made was the Double Dash ranking video, during the part with DK Mountain and Dino Dino Jungle, with the inclusion of RyderKart as well.
While I’m not entirely liking what I see with Madrid, I hope that maybe the the actual track will change my mind on Wednesday, because it does look quite interesting. Also, great video btw 🎉
IMO, Rome is a bit too late in the BCP. I think it should have been structured like this: Rome Avanti: opening for the Feather Cup Athens Dash: ending track of the Feather Cup Squeaky-Clean Sprint: ending track of the Cherry Cup Vancouver Velocity: opening track of the Acorn Cup.
I would've preferred cordoba, mostly because it's a city filled with bridges, a wide river crossing it, and, more importantly, the Mezquita, a +1200 old building considered humanity's patrimony with very interesting architecture to drive across
I drawn a concept of a track based on Diamond City from WarioWare for Mario Kart 9 and it looks surprisingly similar to Madrid Drive in how it would play: it plays like the city tracks from the BCP, to the point where I even imagined how its 3 versions would be if it was originally a Tour track. Plus, it also has lots of variety.
I’m really excited for Madrid Drive! As of Spanish descent, it’s really cool that we finally have a Spanish speaking course in the game and while I personally again would’ve preferred Barcelona, Madrid also looks really really good and well made and also blew my expectations like you said! And the music is on another level too I really wanna hear the full theme and it’s remix in Wave 6. Oh and I also agree that it’ll be in the Spiny Cup. Dataminers even said it’s gonna be one of the most complex city tracks so I’d be surprised at this point if Rome Avanti (which is the much calmer of the two city tracks) ends up in the Spiny Cup instead. Not downplaying it’s difficulty, yes I do believe Rome will also be one of the hardest city tracks for how claustrophobic it is but I mean we had Athens Dash another arguably really difficult city track open the Feather Cup in Wave 5. Think of it like Rome Avanti is Wave 6’s Athens Dash and Madrid Drive is Wave 6’s Los Angeles Laps.
Before I say anything, I just wanted to say, your Spanish with your amazing accent is beautiful. Anyways, I'm a little disappointed this course wasn't Merida, but I'm pretty happy with what I see, looks to be shaping up really good with the datamined assets! Can't wait to play 💛🇪🇸
@AlbertBoris Who knows what'll happen to Mario Kart Tour. However, if Mario Kart Tour somehow keeps getting new content beyond what people assume... And if Mario Kart 8 Deluxe receives even more DLC beyond the Booster Course Pass... I hope to see more City Courses taking place in areas of our planet Earth that have yet to receive Mario Kart representation in the form of courses, particularly... - South America - Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (Rio Rally) - Africa - Other areas: Mexico, Caribbean Islands, Hawaii, etc. - Etc. After all, I feel that all the continents of our planet Earth should each have at least 1 track to represent each continent.
if we get more cities after Madrid, I hope we will get far less European cities. It's litteraly half of the cities in mkt so far, and i agree that South America and Africa deserve representation (with Rio, Buenos Aires, Johannesburg or Cairo).
@@jaifroid5133 Not to mention other areas that are either parts of a continent but are still well-known, such as Mexico, the Bahamas, the Caribbean Islands, etc.; additional areas of a country like Hawaii, Alaska, & so on for the USA; or other regions with names similar to the continents, like Central America, Latin America, the Arctic Circle, etc.
@@jaifroid5133 I have this criticism as well. Berlin and Athens were great, and Paris was a decent starter, but London and Amsterdam were unwanted filer fodder. And Rome isn't impressing me in the slightest. We'll see how Madrid fares. The music is very promising, so that's a good signal.
Great predictions as usual, looking forward to seeing if they are correct! Lame name aside, Madrid Drive looks great and sounds even better so if it is indeed the last completely new track in Tour they're going out with a bang, can't wait to race on it in Tour next week and later in 8 Deluxe, too!
ngl im already ranking madrid drive pretty high because of how unique its looking say what you want about it being relatively flat, im still thinking it'll be one of the best city tracks in mk8dx
It’s a shame that MK Tour they haven’t done yet a city course based on Latin America or Africa, and won’t have it never. What a wasted opportunity to make a city from these two to turn it in a city course
When you mention city chosen for lots of tourism and you mention Sydney, that true for being a city in Australia folks outside Australia visit, but its actually not the capital of Australia. The capital of Australia is Camberra
Half the city nitros have alliterative names in english (Paris, Sydney, London, Berlin, Singapore, LA, Vancouver) while the other half don't. Kind of a stupid rule but it's nintendo.
Tbh I played Tour again, and I still feel like I didn't take it for granted. It's just boring and too slow. I'm still grateful for it being what gave us the Booster Course Pass though.
@@eduardoxenofonte4004 Lmaoo no The next game will be Mario kart 10, and they may put the number in roman numerals. Besides, Mario Kart X was the beta title for Mario Kart Wii, so I could see them using it for real this time. Elon did make the letter X less cool though
@@REAL.T0AD maybe, but they could also call it Mario Kart 9 (because it's the 9th game for a 1st party console), Mario Kart 10 (if you also include Tour), Mario Kart [console name], or any other random name for that matter.
@@eduardoxenofonte4004 nah even if Tour wasn’t considered mainline (it is) tech and game companies have a tendency to skip the number 9 and go right to 10. It’s just a more hype number. Whether it will be 10 or X is up for debate but I don’t think there’s a shot it’ll be Mario Kart 9. I’d like a creative subtitle but I think that Mario Kart 10/X is honestly better for marketing than any actually interesting subtitle.
@@REAL.T0AD yes, i didn't say it wasn't mainline (despite the fact a great portion of mario kart fans have no interest in it), i just said that it's not on a 1st party console. considering Mario Party 9 is a thing, i wouldn't say Mario Kart 9 is impossible.
"According to datamines for the game according to datamines for the game" I STARTED BURSTING IN LAUGHTER WHEN I HEARD THAT 😂 Great video otherwise so far (currently watching it still)
Well, I just hope it ends up good in the end. We just need the third variants of Athens Dash, Rome Avanti, and Madrid Drive after this tour coming up, and hopefully, Wave 6 will also be good! Predictions-wise, I actually decided this order for Wave 6: Acorn Cup: Tour Rome Avanti SNES Bowser Castle 3 Piranha Plant Cove/Deep Moray Trench (New) GCN DK Mountain Spiny Cup: Tour Madrid Drive/Fiesta Piranha Plant Pipeline/Warp Pipe Canyon (New) GBA Bowser Castle 4 Wii Rainbow Road The two characters could be anything, but R.O.B. would be a nice surprise. We know about the cities, the nitros, the SNES track (Which I hope will be used because it’s really good) and the Wii track (Which would be a missed opportunity if they didn’t use it), but the GCN courses are a little blurry, aside from a possible DK Mountain/Dino Dino Jungle spot. For that missing track, it could be anything. I didn’t want too many Wii tracks to appear in 8 Deluxe, so that they could have another opportunity in a future entry, but I didn’t want it to clash too much with other courses. That’s why I chose both Bowser Castles, but split them to appear in different cups, being similar to previous placements. Who knows? We’ll find out soon!
@@kaiserbill25 I wouldn't mind two Bowser Castles in Wave 6, considering MK8 is horrifically lacking (we only have the MK8 original, and I've grown tired of it already). I feel that we should have had one in Wave 3.
@@kaiserbill25 ninja Hideaway and merry mountain weren't Besides the *ONLY* reason Sky-High Sundae, Yoshi's Island and Squeaky Clean Sprint were labelled as "NEW!" is because they weren't in Tour yet. Piranha Plant Cove and Piranha Plant Pipeline are so they can't be labelled as NEW
I mean, Singapore and Berlin were two of my favorite tracks, so that's a good thing for me. I admit I'm bummed that the last city track will be yet another European location, though
Out of the 14 city tracks, 7 come from Europe, and 0 come from South America, Central America, Middle East or Africa... Mario Kart Tour? More like Mario Kart Eurocentrism.
I hope the spanish name is at least ingenious unlike Madrid Drive considering the source for the spanish language is spain (or at least the Latinamerica name is better).
@@generalcrab0009 and they will keep it that way in wave 6 with probably 2 gcn tracks, 1 snes track, 1 wii track, 2 city tour tracks, and 2 tour nitros
@@generalcrab0009 I think we will get 2 gcn tracks for wave 6, just like how wave 3 had 2 3DS tracks, or like wave 5 having 2 Wii tracks, I think it will go the same for wave 6 with 2 GCN tracks tho
I think we’ll get Madrid in the Acorn Cup and Rome in the Spiny Cup, because A: Rome is much more well known than Madrid and the BCP should end with a city more people know, and B: It’s much better to end it all at night than during the day.
As someone who is 1% Spanish, Madrid might be one of my favourite city courses because of the metropolitan vibe and I’m interested to see the football stadium section as a football fan.
wish a lot of older tracks where like it. Especially the first three are kinda disappointing. Tokyo and NY have so much lost potential. Tokyo has more to offer and NY would be cool to drive on the roofs ngl. Paris is alright, but still it feels... a bit empty.
Is it just me or is it freaking geisers in other tracks because ddj is coming i hope dk mountain comes instead fan favorite wii retro gcn track come to Nintendo Switch is glitch still possible can’t do it in mkwii probably no more dk mountain glitch cut
@@OngoeDodos AN NO IT AINT since the prefix leak was revealed it had 3 original tracks in the last wave, BUT recently YOU PEOPLE just cut 1 out of the wave, and based on this, I dont see 2 original to happen in wave 6 either and i think we will get just 1 like all the other waves through out the entire pass, and i dont believe in ID's in the pass either.
STOP HYPING Madrid Drive to be the last new track in Tour since we still have a few more months till Wave 6's full trailer happens and i Still think we aint done with new tracks in the Booster Course Pass, JUST because you believe IDs are accurate since they where never were to be predicable at all, and also I still believe we MAY get 1 more city track to be revealed before wave 6 is released and that curtain city course MAY replace everyones current predictions on the 2 current remaining city tracks left to be in the passand that new city track COULD indeed replace either one of those 2 city tracks eaisly
You did not just say Bangkok is an outlier in terms of being big with lots of tourism?? Bangkok is literally number 2 on the list of MOST INTERNATIONAL VISITORS just behind Hong Kong
