As someone who only collected Black Series and X-Men related Marvel Legends I am shocked at how many Joes I have. Went in on both Haslabs as well. I had them as a kid but I never really interacted with the ip at all since those days. This is the most exciting action figure line right now IMO. It's a shame how much the licensing fees are holding back the Marvel and Star Wars lines in comparison.
I've been collecting GI Joe for 30 years!. I love the classified series and I pack my vintage and Retro figures in with them. It's awesome to look at the new classified figures with thier 3.75 old schoolers.
I've been in on the Classified figures since the very beginning. #00 Snake Eyes! And I've bought at least 1 of each figure released so far. The 6inch GIJoe figures are a dream come true for me! I've been wanting GIJoe 6in for many years. When the Star Wars black series started... I knew GIJoe was a possibility! In my opinion... the classified line is the best thing Hasbro has going for them right now. And I hope Hasbro gives us at least 100 or more figures before it ends.
I do not collect GI Joe (I am a Black Series Collector), But they look like great figures, and it brings me back to my childhood, they strike a true chord of emotion for me, you do an amazing job, I enjoy just listening to you 😊.
I only collect Legends nowadays, and boy does it hurt seeing how much bang for your buck is in Classified Series. We're lucky to get an extra head and hands. Licensing fees are killers.
Hello Mike I'm just collecting the black series figures now but I love watching videos about GIJoe Classified. I still have my original Joes and Cobras from the 80's and 90's. Unfortunately the vehicles and my Cobra Terror Drome are long lost in the waves of time. I only have Bazooka from Tiger Force. I never owned Torpedo. I have the second version of Rock n Roll. And I never got Shipwreck either. I have the Python Patrol Copperhead, I don't think I have the original. I don't think I have Scrapiron that I can remember, but I might have picked up one from a comic convention I'll have to check someday. Another great video Mike. If you want to get really picky, what Bazooka comes with is not a “bazooka”. It’s a rather nicely done M3 Karl Gustav recoilless rifle. I love that they have that swivel bit where you load another round. Of course the real one’s ammo looks way different than what they include.
@@MikeKaess I think the term you might have been looking for was "flintlock". A blunderbuss does indeed look like a trumpet and shoots nails and other rubbish out like a shotgun. You would probably have to purchase some Fortnite figures if you want to get weapons of that sort.
Bazooka has two custom painted mortars: tiger mouth teeth and crash test dummy. I’m torn on if I like the Tiger Force jersey look better. Torpedo the figure is designed more like his file card. He was a stealthy, cold, Navy seal whose special knowledge is explosives. Hence being a Torpedo. I too didn’t have Torpedo as a kid. The colors of Wetsuit popped more and were more appealing. My Torpedo is swimming through imaginary water while suspended on a Hasbro stand. I like those things. Torpedo is one of my favorites of this wave. Rock N Roll is great! Lenny loves those extra pouches being accessories if it was on the original sculpt. I was surprised he came with an actual radio when all the Joes have the Joe Pros. Of the extra hands I would have liked a hang ten surfer gesture too. On the bullet train load I wish it had more spent shells on the belt so it balances better. I think they are saving blast effects for multi-packs. Shipwreck is great too! I only have one really big nit pic. Polly should have had and open beak sculpt. That bird squawked and pestered Hector often. Hair could hang on the anchor on the back…Shipwreck had the rope in the sculpt so obviously Lenny wants it as a separate accessory. I think in the Sunbow cartoon Shipwreck was hanging out in a town close to the Cobra base so there were Cobra troopers hanging about too. For Copperhead you can move that webbing around so it doesn’t cover the Cobra logo. The arm bands are annoying. Scrap Iron was one of the faves as a kid too mainly as he had the missile launcher. I love the upgrade. I’m torn on the blast effects. I thing they need paint. I do think they do show the armor piercing capabilities. His drone is ant-armor. Joes need a tank now. I’m wondering if the launching effects will work with the missiles on the HISS. Very entertaining video Mike. I love GI Joe. I loved it as a kid. I loved it as an adult when buying the 25th anniversary product. Now I’m in love again. I’m sure I was blasted by so many commercials and cartoons that I’m a loyal patron for here on out.
Dude new to your channel and I'm a diehard GIJOE classified fan and collector. I've been a fan since the beginning. I initially passed on Shipwreck for a couple of months. He wasn't high on my list. I ended up getting him at GameSpot for $2.37 lol. He's one of my favorites from the line. He's fantastic. I hope you do more reviews for GIJOE.
Yup, Bazooka has different roads. They all use the same mood, but a different colour is a different ammo type, like a smoke round , or a heat round, etc. usually they are just sabot or hash style rounds. I very much enjoyed the video , thanks for going for a longer vid on these favourites of mine.
Much more of a Joe collector than Star Wars these days. This latest round of figures is very solid. I'd say Joe collectors have it pretty good when figures like Falcon, Cover Girl and Outback are considered stinkers. And a lot of their problems were mostly due to QC issues... buh bye!
Yes, i usually collect Black Series. But, since i saw Outback, I'm in love with the line. Never watched GI Joe Animated series before, but a fan of military aesthetics. So now, GI Joe Classified become my main toy line! They're great with accessories and articulations, dayum!!

I've been loving the GI Joe Classified from the get-go. That being said, they definitely missed the mark on the original wave with the armor plate thing etc. But Hasbro quickly learned their lesson from that little mistake and have been putting out extremely faithful versions of these awesome characters since (*cough* OK maybe not Falcon *cough*). They keep getting better which is very encouraging. GI Joe Classified is probably my favorite line to collect currently. Their loose accessories do shift around a lot while posing but stay in place once you're done fidgeting with them so I don't have an issue with them and appreciate the extra detail they provide. I have several hundred Marvel Legends (lost count long ago!) and have enjoyed them but have lost my interest in them largely. I have nearly every Classified Joe figure that has been released plus army building many of the Cobra figs (my idea of army building is usually 3 of them but I sometimes go beyond that like my 6 original BATS). I'm in on both the Haslabs as well. So really having fun with it. And then there are Mythic Legions and the new Cosmic Legions figures that I got. It's quite a financial commitment these days!! But it's so much fun. Now I just need a bigger house to store everything in... Thanks for the video!
Yeah for sure. The line has a really tough start. I didn’t hate it, but it wasn’t what I wanted. I’m glad Hasbro changed it up. I am absolutely loving the Cosmic Legions way more than I thought I would. Looking forward to the next way to get revealed at Power con.
I think this is the best “main stream” line of toys in the market right now. You nailed it, you really do get your moneys worth. I collect legends and black series and cherry pick figs from the other hasbro lines, but every time I get a new Joe, I’m blown away with how much they pack into each figure. I’m not a huge gi joe guy nor do I have the nostalgia for it but, as a fan of toys, these are amazing fun figures!
Hey Mike I enjoy your wry observations on both Classified and Black Series. More please. Classified are probably their best line of action figures. The only thing I don't like is the flimsy inefectual drop down hips. Oh and lack of other hand options. If Black Series had pinless double jointed elbows and knees, with improved torso articulation and a few other accessories, they would be so much better. As is their sculpts are superb. Speaking of Black Series accessories and lack thereof. Remember the old battle damaged Stormtrooper that came with a blaster bolt for the end of his weapon and two explosion pieces along with a frickin stand! Id love to know your thoughts on Jada Toys Street Fighter 6 inch figs. They look incredible.
I wish the drop down hips were sturdier for sure, but I love how much range it gives them when doing low poses. The jada toys SF figures look so good but I just don’t know if I can do another line right now.
I remember I got shipwreck when he first came out. Good times. Copperhead’s helmet is made to resemble the Creature from the Black Lagoon. You’re welcome.
That "anchor" is a grapnel. It's used for securing line or hooking onto mooring, other boats etc. And Polly is female. And bazookas don't shoot "missiles". They fire Rounds (or Grenades). Sorry to be pedantic, but now you know.. and knowing is half the battle!
Great video dude! Disney has killed SW for me after loving it my whole life. I don’t even know the characters that they are pumping out now and I can only have so many Vaders. Still get troopers though. All in on Classified. Please post some more Joe reviews. 🤘🤘🤙
Since Hasbro already knew they were going to release Bazooka twice (Tiger Force and classic), I really wish they had included some "personality" items in the second release. Maybe some extra hands and a football (with a hand sculpted to hold it), or maybe some baseball cards (a deep cut reference from the cartoon). I ended up having to give my Bazooka figure the straps from Stalker, just because he needs something that looks like it can hold up that backpack (since slotting the pack into a giant hole in his spine would likely cause severe health problems). Fortunately I was able to find a second Stalker on clearance, at Walmart for $9, to "donate" the straps for Bazooka. I do plan to get Torpedo and Shipwreck eventually. However, now that we know Hasbro is bringing back the plastic window-boxes, I'm kind of hoping that most of the figures that got released during the dark times, known as "plastic-free packaging", will get a rerelease in a proper window-box soon. Buying figures sight-unseen is a huge hassle for me, since I don't trust Hasbro's quality control (I got burned once buying a figure from the Indiana Jones line in those closed boxes and I won't buy anything else from that line unless it goes on deep clearance). Right now, I'm most excited for Mutt & Junkyard and, based on the photos we saw at SDCC, the figures look amazing. Mutt was easily my favorite Joe growing up, even though I never had his figure as a kid. I wanted Mutt & Junkyard more than I wanted Snake-Eyes and I was completely obsessed with Snake-Eyes back in the 80s.
Great video. I’ve been collecting the classified series since they started the line. I was really big into ARAH when I was a kid since I was a army brat. I wish Hasbro would do a better job on these weapons though. I hate the flimsiness of them. I’ve swapped them all out with Action Force weapons. If your not familiar with AF I highly recommend you checking them out. Have a AWSOME day.

Pretty sure the one is painted as a cost cutting measure lmao. You have that one loaded to "look cool" and the others are hidden in the backpack so they didn't bother painting it since you'd only see the loaded one anyway.

I just got a few of these. Copperhead is okay, but his eyes don't look as nicely painted as the preview images. Rock and Roll is awesome, but his gun is bent, so I have to try and straighten it. Outback's gun is also bent, and the paint on his hair is a bit sloppy and has a gloss sheen, so I'm gonna repaint it a more fiery orange with a matte finish. Bazooka's awesome, but there is a slight gap at the "boot-cut" of his right foot. I'll be happy with them If I can straighten their guns, but I wish they'd just use proper hard plastic for the weapons.
Mike Bazookas boots need turned around the manufacturer put them backwards. Trust me turn them you'll see. Awesome video I love love the Classified line. I've done some awesome photography shoots with them.
I have been collecting GI Joe Classified since they came out, but had trouble finding the first few waves. I don't really like the drop-down hips that tend to stick, and that almost made me stop collecting them. However, Robo from The Fwoosh showed the lubricant he uses for figure joints, and it works great. Now I'm back in, picking up the figures I had as a kid, and the ones I really wanted, but never got.
I only hand pick some G.I. Joe but I have to admit Hasbro does a good job with these, it could be better with even more added bonuses weapons and so, but compared to Marvel Legends or SW Black Series , G.I. Joe s are on upper level compared to those. I listened recently to Bobby Vala interview about the effect of brands on SW and Marvel toys so it s more understandable they can do more with G.I. Joe and they could do even more. Really dig that new line and don’t feel the need to get them all. I understand completely your views and presentation of some Joe’s . Great video, take care
I collect Gi Joe and Black series I favor Gi Joe Classified. Bazooka I Love the guy but they should have made straps for his backpack I’ve never had a Football Jersey with a built in RPG back pack. Hasbro keeps making these awesome Gi Joes and I have to buy them as far as black series I only get the ones that I can’t live without.
I feel like Black Series has come to a screeching halt. I prefer the movie characters, and it feels like it’s been all video game and cartoon figures for the last year or so. G.I. Joe has been a great line, especially lately but the amount of figures they have been pumping out and the repaints and exclusives is just getting overwhelming now.
I'm not a completest either but with this Joe line I just might be I'm in no rush to get them all I will eventually thanks for the videos I just subscribe today
Strictly GiJoe.... Black Series has ok figures plus they too too many figures prequel, og trilogy then the in between plus the latest trilogy. Which timelines are you focusing on?
