Another interesting piece of Victorian woodworking engineering...the Stanley #48 tongue-and-groove plane. One plane that can cut both the tongue and groove on the edge of a board thanks to an ingenious feature.
The other side is a V-groove or bevel which we call in the flooring industry , a bevel edge which was designed in flooring that you had edges that were not over wood under wood showing !!
@@athmostafa2462 You can use either plane on a 1" board but the tongue and groove won't be centered. That's not a problem...you simply run the plane's fence along the same side of each board (front or back) to ensure your tongues and grooves line up.
