I love using coleus in the garden and in containers. I propagate them by stem cuttings and grow them under lights all winter. I appreciate that you are showing coleus from other sources besides PW.
Proven winners colorblaze series does amazing in the blazing hot sun.. they are the only ones I purchase for my yard here in Mississippi… they do so well In the sun!!! Oh my!!!
I watched one of your videos and subscribed ! Great info and listening to you is like listening to a friend, so thank you. 💖 I love coleus and take cuttings in fall and grow inside until spring . Thanks for the info !
I’ve always had a preference for coleus as a house plant now my garden has been opened to having them outside as well. Thank you for showing the selections you have appreciate the video.
Another great video! What beautiful plants coleus are! And so versatile in plantings. I need to try a ton in my own garden this year! lol Thank you for the inspiration!
Love the coleus and I am going to plant some in a bed where hostas and the dark cannas are in sun/ shade hope all turns out ok. I wish I could find some wandering Jew, because they make such a beautiful hanging plant Thanks for all your advice.
I’m new to your channel and loving your videos and how much I’m learning. I live in a community, and have a small shade garden, so I’m loving all your info on shade plants. Keep them coming. Love your enthusiasm and personality. 😊
Unfortunately I have only a small shaded area, but if it were large I'd fill it to the brim with of all those beautiful, colorful coleus! I do have one Flame Thrower, 'Cajun Spice' potted beneath a tree. I was told the humming birds like the flowers, so leave them on for a little while. Love your enthusiasm for your plants! (Arkansas)
There are several that grow well in full sun and I mean FULL sun. I live in Colorado, our sun is super intense. There are several that do quite well in full sun. I grow some on my west-facing deck where it's blazing hot afternoon sun.
@@barbaramccann7944 the orange, red or copper colored ones seem to do the best. Redhead and campfire are two of my full sun favorites. Alabama sunset and glennis also did well.
Im in zone 6 in Midwest and I love Coleus, they do great here! I use biotone to fertilize whenever I plant, and I just take lots of cuttings, root in water and plant indoor pots from 1st to last frost. Then plant outside again ❤
I paired El Brighto with Tropical Sunrise canna and cuphea it was amazing. Wicked witch was gorgeous in the ground and full sun at my back door with lemon coral sedum. All the colorblaze have been so fun to grow, and I have more mainstreet in my stash this year. love coleus thanks for the video
