Yeah i think especially the fish are battered in probably jack daniels. It is kinda rare to go find a fish and chip shop in london without beer batteered fish
I disagree man, not all food needs spice and masala! Lahori masala fish is delicious. British battered cod is also delicious. Different but still delicious!
It has no masala in, because traditional fish and chips don't have that in there. Like that's like a British guy saying to a Pakistani there's no alcohol in my lassi,
British food is actually really underrated. The seasoning is simple, but the beauty of that is in the fact that it brings out the true flavor of meat and vegetables. Like if you enjoy beef for what it is, a traditional English roast beef is something you’d appreciate. Same goes for Northern European food in general. I don’t think anyone can turn down a good German or Polish sausage unless they’re vegetarian. It’s different than the Pakistani style food that you normally cook, which is laden with more complex spices. Both are great cuisines in my book, and I’ll happily demolish a chicken biryani and an English meat pie on the same day.
@@GoldenGully Bro regular fish n chips isn't supposed to have Masala you being toxic for no reason. Also his was breaking because ur eating it with a damn fork 😭Eat it with ur hands
I’m not trying to sound rude here but of course fish n chips lack masala because it’s not an Asian food. This is England. People grow up with different types of dishes all over the world and not everything has to be “one way.”Some people also just prefer a more “plain” meal. We don’t add masala to our fish n chips.
A few days ago, i was at Jordan going back to Montreal Canada and we stoped at London airport and while i was walking i saw the Gordon Ramsey restaurant i was like “bro gordon has a resturant in an airport?” 😂
Hey gully I hope you are able to make a video on how you became a chef and a youtuber if you would like to share the story I am interested especially because you are pakistani and so am I.
Wehayyyy he's finally in London i can't wait to see ur future videos on what merry old London has to offer I would recommend going to Watan in Tooting Bec they serve amazing Afghanistan food
We dont typically add spices to fish for fish & chips here in the UK. It doesnt need it either as the UK is oftej regarded as the country that does fish and chips best.
Was in California and I think Wolfgang Pucks airport food is actually pretty tasty. I’ve been to an actual Gordon Ramsay restaurants and found them mid. Still a fan tho. I’ve watched every episode of Gordon Ramsay Uncharted episode.
Not everything needs to dosed in masala and the same old spices. Sometimes less is more. As a British person a simple Fish and chips is perfect as long as it’s fired in quality oil and batter, that’s all you need
