Let's try to fix a Silver Crest Hand blender 

Seems like mine has had exactly the same issue as the one you've worked on. Doesn't take much for those to burn.

Sir, my Silvercrest hand blender( from the set) is perfectly functional. But, being the old model, the one with rubber round buttons(normal and turbo), that rubber got cut from the passing of the time. Soon, they will both fall, when the entire circle will be cut. What can I use to replace those buttons. I could let them where they are and put insulation band or what?
