31:30 is my favorite part of the video. Jeremy makes that "pahhh" breathy noise, he and Jack just duck away, and Michael raises a hand as he questions whether or not his life contains a meaning beyond playing rage games.

+James Schrupp I can assure you with 100% certainty that dying in a bonus doesn't count for the box gem. The transparent box actually only turns into the gem when you walk close to it, so that would be why it was still there.

+ZedKingsley Dying before hitting a checkpoint also doesn't count for the colored gem. The box is always faded, until you walk close to it.

Level starts at almost 90 lives. Level ends with less than 60. Now I remember the nightmare that these games were.

That heart-wrenching moment when Michael would've gotten the Blue Gem, but dies by the enemy right at the end of "Toxic Waste" at 25:47 because dying in Bonus Stages or before the first Checkpoint Crate doesn't count against you. I was literally clenching my ass the entire time while watching him do "Toxic Waste" because I was hoping he'd get the Blue Gem and realize that dying in Bonus Stages doesn't count, etc.; it would've thrown him through a loop. Alas, he died...

When perfecting Crash 1, I genuinely contemplated getting the relic on Stormy Ascent instead of the High Road since I only needed 26. However I went back, beat the high road, and then realised there's a secret achievement for getting gold on Stormy Ascent and I felt awful.

Spyro and Crash were released and developed at almost the same time and as such they have 2 crossover games and several references to one another across their series's (like crash twinsanity which has spyro appear near the end and attack the final boss before the final battle)

I didn't really have any problems with the bridge levels. This may seem like the easy way out, but I just jumped on the ropes and pretty much just ran straight the entire level. You gotta jump off a couple of times but it saved me so much time and stress.

What's good about this new version is that you don't have to complete each level without dying to get all the gems. You used to have to finish every level without dying because the boxes would respawn when you died in the original.

There's a secret path on the first level by falling into the gap in between the two floating spiky enemies. Once Michael knows where it is, he'll be angry at having missed the box gem when it could have easily been obtained.
