You are correct Dean. She could’ve at any point in the battle just disable his whole system completely and he’d be helpless. But at the same time, they needed them to fight for entertainment purposes. Also just for your information, One Punch Man was originally a webcomic created and drawn by ONE. But after it got popular, it was redrawn as a manga in 2012 by a very well known and talented artist called Murata. In the manga version, all the characters have been boosted in power, making all the feats they’ve done in the webcomic seem like child’s play. Tatsumaki in particular became so strong that it’s theorised she could manipulate the moon itself from her latest feats. Of course this was after the Death Battle episode came out, but since then, she’s gotten almost infinitely stronger as a powerhouse. Mob meanwhile didn’t get stronger as his story had concluded a while before the Death Battle was made, whilst One Punch Man is still being written and drawn. Nevertheless, Tatsumaki at any point could’ve ended the battle right away and not receive any damage whatsoever. So you are right Dean.
The whole point of One Punch Man is to be a parody of Shonen. The idea is that you're seeing Saitama after he became a hero, instead of seeing him from the start of his journey.
- This was pretty controversial fight. The creator ONE said a few years ago if the 2 fought Tats is stronger but if Mob goes serious he wasn't sure. - Though Tats has gained more ridiculous feats in the manga since this episode. Like tanking a beam that literally sliced of part of the planet
@@JABRIEL251 At that time of the statement the Monster association arcl manga wise wasnt made yet so he was badicngit off of just wheat she could do webcomic wise and Mob at the time. Same he did for awakendd Garou vs Boros question where he said he didn't know but Garou would be better at close combat by being able to dodge his punches and kicks.
Yah I'm a huge "Mob Psycho 100" fan, and I would greatly recomend the series to anyone. That said Tatsumaki comes from a world we're almost everyone is purposely OP, so in hindsight, it's not surprising she could beat someone like Shigeo.
Fun fact the creator once said that mob when at 100% is about as strong as tatsumaki idk when it was said so unsure if it was before or after when this DB taken place but yeah with that info i found mob is way stronger than i thought
@@zerousdragous7472 If I remember correctly, that was said a while ago, before most of Tatsumaki's most impressive feats were put onto paper. Quite a bit before the Monster Association Arc.
The thing about Saitama is that he's trapped in an inescapably boring state of existence. Fighting was something he was very passionate about. He loved the thrill of the fight, the rush of being in a life or death situation, the possibility that he might lose. Then he got too strong, and the joy of battle was just taken away from him. He wants more than anything to feel like something can push him to his limits and give him a serious fight, but he always fights opponents so far beneath him that he just can't reach that point. He is struggling to find purpose in his life and trying to escape his endless boredom.
I like it how the reaction that you give it for supporting Mob succeding in Death Battle and to be honest I've never except it for Tatsumaki to win against him! But I'm happy that you changed your decision on Tatsumaki in the end!
I think my all-time favorite death battle episode is Iron Man vs Lex Luthor, but that's also because I was a big fan of it when it came out so it's just kinda stuck with me, and I don't really recall what other ones would go in like my top 5.

Yo, at list give it a shot for the amazing animation! besides, it's not an insult, it's a parody (The Boys comics is the one you can say for certain that it is pocking the bear on superheroes) it's just a way to have fun on the flaws of what you love. I love superman...but i also love seeing a guy who cannot find meaning in life, for the same reasons superman does. Watch it for the it's uniqueness. if after EP 3 your not feeling it, drop it. trust me, it is worth the effort at list.

12:06 Well yes and no. That's how the Manga originally look like but eventually it got a redraw. So there's technically 2 versions of the Manga that follows the same story.
Personally, mob psycho and one punch man are both in my top ten anime(OPM being #3 and Mob Psycho being #6), but they're very different from traditional anime, so they're not for everyone
To be fair Ris, with the 40% thing, Death Battle has lately been saying each matchup is "very close" a lot of the time after a fight, even when it clearly wasn't, probably in order to soften the blow of the defeat for the fanbase. You can probably make a drinking game out of it lol
Then again not every matchups need to be a fair or close fight. As long they are themic or good enough matchups with solid connections then the fairness doesn't matter. Besides Death battle have proven time and time again that stomp matchups can be fun and enjoyable to watch as well.
Out of any fight that was in Season 6, this matchup was an extremely close one like I had a feeling that Tatsumaki had it but I will give Mob a bit of credit since this could've gone either way. So now we are at Deadpool VS Mask and as the Season 6 Penultimate Episode, all I can say is that you’re in for a ride with this one.
I will say that My Hero Academia took me 5 episodes, I let my viewers vote and they picked it and I was getting very worried because the protagonist just keeps crying
The idea of One Punch Man, at its basic core, is if Super Saiyan Blue Goku, fought Raditz, or Cell Or King Piccolo from original DB. The main character at the end of his development, forced the fight early-arc villains.
I really don't get how they concluded that Mob would win 40 or so times. The numbers they gave to Tatsumaki were so much better. I'm not saying it's not a close fight, I'm saying it's not a close fight based on the statistics they gave. Maybe I'm missing something, but I refuse to call it a close fight with the numbers they gave.
I’m pretty confident they just said that given how much salt was expected out of this episode, especially if Mob won. To his credit I’d say his abilities were more versatile and he had less weaknesses, and the gap in stats wasn’t nearly as big as other fights they’ve done. But yeah, Mob realistically would only win a handful of times at best
According to their numbers, Tatsumaki is 16x stronger than Mob, and 6x faster. While that seems like a massive stomp on its own, it’s actually much less of an advantage compared to most other Death Battles. Consider Omni-Man vs Homelander, where Omni Man was billions of times faster and stronger, or Natsu vs Ace, where a guy who eats fire was put up against a guy made of fire. When you lose a DB with a disadvantage only in the double digits, or even the single digits, that is absolutely considered a close fight in the grand scheme of things
@@aksghazi868 Keep in mind, the majority of feats measured on Mob's side were from his 100% form. His ??? form is even more powerful, but because it's never shown any limits, using its feats would be considered a No Limits Fallacy, so they ignore it for the sake of the battle. And think about it: do you realize how many shounen battles exist where the villain is massively more powerful than the hero, but the hero still wins?

Here's fun fact about Mob and Tatsumaki. ONE (creator of Mob Psycho 100 and One Punch Man) has once stated that Tatsumaki could beat normal Mob in a fight. However, he has no answer to who wins if Mob gets serious. And letting you know that Tatsumaki doesn't like it when someone called her child, or child related (such as middle school, brat, kid, etc), so she's basically version of Edward Elric (Fullmetal Alchemists) who he doesn't like it when someone called small or pipsqueak.
I find it hilarious how Tatsu is meant to be a hero that people look up to, but in this animation they completely throw the whole “hero who saves people” thing out the window by having her not only throw a middle schooler into a building without holding back, and then throwing a building at the same middle schooler after he tells her what she just did was wrong, I know the animation is just for fun but did they have to make her so unlikable the entire time?
Not that's not the manga it's the webcomic, the opm manga art is a masterpiece. And so is the show it is way more complex than what you think. Also this was before tatsu had manga feats which would make this easy win.
OPM isn't mocking other anime, it's simply a parody. Saitama, the main character, is meant to be an anime character from the end of their series dropped off at the beginning of their series.
