You know, wide hips, wide butt, all the fat goes to the former and the thighs without even going to the stomach, face without fat, etc. That's one of the reasons why this movie sucks. You simply can't believe Violeta's supposed fatness. She's a pear shaped Colombian beauty.
I don't think he gets how much of a following amongst a certain group he has. I'm pretty sure he could case resurgence of renamon if he did the Digimon movies.
If you only saw Violeta from the torso up, you would have NO idea why they would be calling her fat. Like, why not make her torso bigger or arms thicker, then it would at least make sense.

Lool I actually have a similar body type to this chicken. Big hips and some ass, but I do have a little stomach. I'm not completely flat like they often like to portray in cartoons.

6:11 is slightly under 4 pounds supposed to be big for a rooster?😂 I mean I've had a single chicken breast from the store that was 2 pounds (I thought it was two, it was just one huge one), meaning whatever chicken it was from had to be over 5 pounds, and most commercial chicken meat comes from hens, I would assume if hens of some farmed species can get up to 4 pounds in just their breasts, a rooster could be at least 5 or 6. Average frozen chicken at the grocery are 3-3.5 pounds so this huge fighting rooster who looks 5 times bigger than everyone else, is no heavier than the average female chicken, mind you many are killed very young before reaching their full size. He should weigh like 6 pounds if he's so much bigger than everyone else. My cousin has a rooster and he's not super big but I'm sure he's at least 4 pounds.
What I find odd is no one teases her cousin for being fat since even if her waist and chest were as thick as her hips he would still be twice her size, but I guess if your rich with potential criminal connections people don't want to offend you.

ACTUALLY YEAH, why has no one brought up that Violeta is supposed to be a teenager, NOT old enough to live in her own? This feels like an important detail consider her design
Rishi gets super offended about things. To the point she is being offensive. Part of the issue was translation and understanding cultures. It comes off more insulting because we are so groomed to think “fat” = bad word. The new f word. Then there’s the fact that there ARE women shaped like that. Not a lot, but guess what, representation isn’t always the trending minority. Regardless, THEYRE ANIMATED CHICKENS. Was she offended that the father was jacked the way he was? Nope. She was offended by the body type. The animators and artists also just did the Pixar mom bod. It’s not new. They obviously were inspired by animation from western culture and Japanese culture.
It’s offensive BECAUSE they are calling a curvy character fat.. fat in my opinion is what I am.. my belly is stiff and big and I consider that to be fat.. not this.

They aren’t being racist, they were confused on if this was cultural or not. Certain women in different cultures tend to be more curvy and accepted for it, in this movie they are upset and confused why she’s called fat. :)
