Im so grateful for your lessons..very good teaching approach...gets me everytime it looks so difficult the first time but you really break it down so well...blows my mind when i can move those shapes around..really a very unique way of teaching play by yourself...mahalo
Pure inspiration. I feel so lucky to find this today - it just immediately clicked. I can say this has definitely raised my game; opened up the fret board.. I'm using these "diads" and connecting them to the minor pentatonic scale pattern (or the natural minor diatonic) that fits wherever I land. Thank you Corey. I'm going to now figure out how to do this over some chord changes/progressions.
Good gracious Congilio! Another killer lesson dude. It’s always fun, useful, effective and sounds amazing. Thanks for sharing and shedding light like this.
I have the ss se version in stone blue and just got a seymour duncan lil 59 to put in the bridge Love the guitar, midnight rose is a great color option loved the vid corey! Thanks
Thank you Corey for another great lesson! You are an inspiration to an old dog like me, who only wishes had met you much earlier in my life... You're the best guitar teacher around the web.
All of your lessons are really fantastic, but this one was an eye opener. Such a simple, general concept that I never considered 😅 Thanks and keep up the great work!
Great video, both the lesson and the gear info 👍🏻. I can see some newer players taking that two-note lesson and getting pretty excited because it is relatively simple to a more advanced player but sounds like a million bucks! Awesome sounding axe there.
Thanks Corey. This lesson will really help move my playing up a notch. Thanks for creating such great content. Look forward to the lesson on when the chord changes.
I think this is my first time watching one of your videos. I laughed out loud when you mentioned Lindsey Buckingham, and played that little, instantly-recognizable snippet. Very nice lesson. Thank you. Subscribed.
Great lesson. In the tab, it looks like just 2 notes are played at a time, but in the video it looks like you are hitting all the strings. Are you muting most of the notes or playing all of the notes?
Hi from Italy and thanks for the good lesson, Corey. I wanted to ask why did you choose the two middle strings of the guitar? Maybe because they sound better for this purpose? Or maybe because they are close to the low string of LA? Or maybe to make the lesson easier?
Great lesson again Corey! Thank you for sharing your time with us. I have learned so much from you on these videos as well as your course materials. Question: I notice that you leave the guitars hanging on the wall. Do you leave them out in the winter time as well when there is no humidity in the air? Do you use a special humidification system for the room for winter time? I can never keep enough humidity in my music room during the winter months.
Glad you enjoyed it. Thankfully, Nashville is kind to guitars but yes, I do humidify them in the winter.I keep an eye on the hygrometer and keep it at 45-50%. If you live in a drier climate, the case is always the best place for them!
