You're a wonder! A few weeks after surgery and you're working like nothing ever happened. Fertilizer and a warm, cozy blanket for your garlic from something that otherwise would have been useless. Genius! You certainly put in a hard day Stacy, but it looks wonderful! Loved seeing a bit of your beautiful pastoral realm, especially your sweet dog and the happy little piggies. Really brought a smile to my face. Hydrate and take an anti-inflammatory before bed, please. We can't have you more achy than usual tomorrow.

Printanor garlic is amazing growing and amazing flavour. I planted two types last year and the printanor did beautifully. I planted ours last week. That's just one of many reasons I love gardening because no matter how sore or tired or whatever you are 1: it makes you feel better being out in the fresh air and 2: it doesn't matter how fast you go just so long as you do something to improve the garden and growing food for you and or your family. Your dog is just like mine, they love being out and involved in what your doing but mostly love lazing in the sun.

I am immensely impressed by all you managed to accomplish in a single day! You're a wonder. This is the sort of day to pull out one of your freezer meals. Please say you had a good soak in a hot bath at the end of the day. Watching you, it’s hard to believe you just recovered from knee surgery. It was a pleasure for me, during the parts where you were working without narrating, to hear the bird song. There was one that I remember from my trip to NZ and Australia, even though it's been almost 40 years. Interesting to find out there's a use for daggy bits of wool.

What a good little helper you have. My helper digs up what I plant and takes the nuts out of the bucket. Gotta love them. I was pulling weeds yesterday and filled 2 garbage cans. There is still more to clear out but I think if a hose can be put behind the shed, that might be a good garden spot especially since it doesn't have to be cleared and tilled. While back there, I and so happy to have found some adorable little mouse melons and some blackberries to get cuttings from! The constant Spring rains killed the garlic so have some ordered.

You’re amazing Stacey, weeks out from knee surgery and you’re up and away! I can totally relate to health issues getting in the way of life stuff , you have a fantastic attitude. I actually saw your other video about the garlic when I first found you… my daughter was over and she started to laugh when you were crawling on your hands and knees through the grass because “look! It’s you mum! “ haha yep I would do the same lol. I have planted garlic this year and I have used wool (after seeing you do it) as a mulch cover and they have all just popped up. The wool I got was kindly given to me to spin but it wasn’t really suitable for spinning so I was stoked to have a use for it. I’m really excited to see how these turn out for you this year, and I’m crossing everything so that you don’t have any other obstacles in the way of your gardening xxx hugs from Gizzy ❤

You might enjoy watching, Robbie and Gary from Southern California, that is the whole title of her channel. She has a lot of logical gardening ideas as does Gary, I think he was an Aussie farmer, definitely Aussie, farmer, maybe. Some may be beneficial for your back, hella ugly but it seems to work. She goes cheap too, although you probably have most of what you need on the farm anyway. A lawn tractor and a trailer saved my back from all that hauling of dirt and other heavy stuff. I think I would have been happy living on the farm with all the animals. I'd be some crazed lunatic running around the field playing tag with them, I use to do that with my horses. Great fun.

Wow Stacey that was a mammoth task and especially after recent surgery. Yes you will get two goes at harvesting with the scapes on the hard neck variety. I just watched a vlog on how to store garlic shapes. The lady just washed them coped ygem up and put in a blender with some olive oil then made pucks using a small cookie scoop. The pucks went on parchment paper on a baking tray and were frozen before being placed in a zip lock bag. She recommended double bagging to prevent smell transfer. Can't wait for harvest time.👍💕👍

Those little piggies are so cute. What breed are they? Here's hoping all your garlic produces well. Here in the states it's hard to find locally grown garlic. Most of it comes from China and they are not picky about what they put in their soil. Don't wear yourself out. Have your husband get you a small garden tiller. Our summer is just started so I have a few more months to wait. Usually plant in late Dec. love watching your channel. I have cement block raised beds and mineral tubs that I use.

I have thought about those blocks as well but they are expensive here. My son is going to come and build me some beds :)

Smile at your viewers ... You're so goal focused you forget to smile and laugh at yourself. What sort of dog ? What's his job on farm? Temperature outside where you live whilst gardening. How often do you get rainfall? What was husband doing job wise today? And by the way you're looking well. Take care ❤💖❤

This is one viewer who likes Stacy just the way she is: genuine. I think that trying to remember to smile when it doesn't happen naturally is bad advice. It just makes a person self-conscious. As it is, when Stacy smiles, it lights up her whole face in an infectious way that put-on smiles never would. You know, I have never once read a comment telling a male RU-vid presenter that he needs to smile more when he's concentrating on his subject matter. Maybe one reason I disagree with your suggestion is that I am so fed up with women being told they should smile more. Maybe we'd smile more if we were judged on the merit of our work instead of whether we show our dimples on demand.

Hello, and thanks for messaging. My dog is a Huntaway and she is just my companion. She doesn't work on the farm, if she did she would move sheep and cows with her bark. My husband works seven days a week on the farm and is always very busy tending to the animals and doing lots of jobs on the land :)

I was always told to plant on St Patrick’s day. (Riverina NSW). But we planted some late and they are growing.

You had knee replacement and your on your knees??? You are NOT supposed to be on your knees, ever, after knee replacement! Check with your doctor, as you could have big problems if you continue like that….
