Ghanaians in general are polaritc in thinking and not able to see a bigger picture. This is a primary obstacle that citizens of Ghana have to face, acknowledge and deal with .

You have to be objective if you need to make progress. His interview skills are not the best . There is a lot of room for improvement . Unless you want to settle for mediocrity.

lawyer please do not listen to the critics. they want you to stop what you are doing. but keep going this is just the mentality of Ghanaians. they never want to change their ways. they just like it one way just like the rest of them. lawyer Andy is different. He was not defending the country, he was the defending the status quo. He fought as a soldier and died as a soldier. As we said in French, qui règne par l’épée, meurt par l’épée. This was bunch of soldiers shooting at each other. End of story.

Rawlings was interviewed in South Africa few months ago,he said the same thing too wasn’t actually a coup was just a protest against hardship in Ghana.I wasn’t born then so i ain’t really sure about how bad things were

I like the demeanor of captain Awuni. He was just doing his just as a millitary officer, not interested in coup matters, but he was nearly poisened, based on his first interview. That is what has made me so sad. He was even later retired from the millatary. All the best Joe Awuni.

I have heard and saw the interviews with some the key players of the Ghanaian June, 4th Revolution and l am inclined to conclude that it was a Revolution without a blueprint, direction and purpose for the development of the country but a couple of officers that were power thirst racked with full of intrigues and hate for each other was at play at the expense of the nation, pure and simple, which never accounted for a step forward but two steps backwards for the country and Africa as at then and perhaps now.

Yes, no blue print, no direction! However, all the various leadership after 1966 failed to give a build print or direction for the nation and this resulted in a reaction from the military without thinking through the consequences of their immature behaviour and actions. Period.

@@yawjay7049 Acheampong's coup d'états was bloodless because when you know what you wont in a coup you don't share blood. Its only when you don't know how and what to do that everyone becomes a threat soo you kill them . And that was AFRC and PNDC.

Why people still afraid to tell the truth? Town council collapsed when agroup called militia form by J.J control over all the country. The then military government were eager looting the country found and they disregard this town council workers. People were no longer taken to court. It's JJ military regime has brought Ghana to where it is today. In 1981 Ghana railway was operating fully, it's bad governance of the then pndc military regime collapsed it.

But Captain, you should write a book. Meanwhile I've been searching everywhere for Matthew Adabuga's book and I can't find it anywhere. HE can publish more copies and sell it on Ebay? Meanwhile, I think Rawlings too has written a book to be released after his death.

Flt Lt. Is equivalent to captain. At the time Rawlings was head of state, so he wasn't taking orders from Rawlings was Flt Lt, but as head of state who by extension is commander in chief

@@smithmahama5849 but other higher ranking officers did answer to him, even a Generals at that time. This will never happen in US. But at that time I was in Tamale going to school at Station Experiments in Kamina Barracks. So many of my friends father were high ranking officers.

Bra! He was commander in chief at that time cos he had taken over the country and People were afraid of him. Simple, case closed
