To answer the tupperware dishwasher conundrum: I work as a pot wash and the sous chef at my work taught me that the ceramics dry themselves cuz they stay hot and so the water evaporates but plastics don't retain the heat so they don't really dry :) fun fact - the more you know!
I believe you should try and learn how to do renovations or repairs when it’s something you know you will need done throughout your lifetime. Hanging wallpaper, fixing a leaky sink, painting a room the correct way, laying tile, refurbishing furniture, building IKEA furniture 😂. The list goes on. Try your best to learn everything you can and maybe it will be fun. I do draw the line on some things that I know I don’t like and will hire someone. But don’t shy away from projects that need done and learn as much as you can about it.
Go for it Grace - You can do it! I renovated a two-bed flat back in 2011. I learned to get my anger out whilst smashing down walls with a lump hammer, plastering, and tiling. Getting used to a new oven is just down to using it.
Loved the waistcoat outfit on you! also if you pop a tea towel over the door of the dishwasher just after it has finished and close it again so half of the tea towel is on the inside of the dishwasher it absorbs a lot of the moisture and helps dry your tupperware
For your tupperwear question make sure u use rinseaid in the the dishwasher and when the dishwasher finishes open the dishwasher door slightly and leave it until you unload it mine is always dry then.. hope this helps
ahh it’s so strange but so exciting to see you in your new house! renovation content is my absolute favourite kind of thing to watch so im v happy aha. it is a lot of work to do something yourself but i swear there is no better feeling than looking round at your finished room and thinking wow i did that - i believe in you grace you’ve proven so many times you can do whatever you put your mind to 🌱
This vlog was a bit different to the old home vlogs, but also so much the same. Same vibes different background if you know what I mean. I’ll miss your parents house but I’m so glad you’re sharing the reno process, bc not only do I love renos, but I feel like it will help all of us connect to the new house. Tupperware is plastic and that doesnt retain heat as well as metal or stoneware. A dishwasher dries by applying heat and kinda let the plate or what ever dry itself... and on plastic that doesnt work ;)

Grace please get an asbestos test done on the bathroom ceiling. I’m 6 mins into the vlog and just had to comment that. The texture of the ceiling is similar to asbestos which can be dangerous if troubled.

There is no such thing as a "budget" bathroom renovation, even if you have mad elite building skills. Decorate, yes, but not renovate. Kitchens are the same way, sorry.
Grace, I’ve got the feeling there are quite a few videos missing on your channel. I’ve always liked your videos but they feel very random lately. You’ve clearly moved house but you haven’t vlogged along the way. I’m curious about the proces of buying a house, how many properties you viewed, what you where looking for in a home and of course a house tour. What are your plans for the renovation? Please turn this into a series in which you take us along for the ride. I’d love a bit more of an overview rather than random bits and bobs.
