During my gym experience I have seen many different people: Some going to the gym just to say they go to the gym, others on the other hand putting in the hard work.
From what I have seen, the best predictor for how fast someone got big and strong, was his: WORK-OUT INTENSITY.
By going to the gym you are already in the top 20%, but if you want to get ahead of the top 20% you must push harder.
IMPORTANT: If you want to make real progress (in the gym) and the response to the question: am I working out as hard as I can? Is "no" then don't see it as a problem, you have just discovered a very simple (but not easy) actionable thing that will boost your gains in the long therm!
Why should I do it?
- More and faster gains.
- A crazy level of satisfaction.
- More discipline in every single area of life (you are just growing a part of you brain, which will make doing hard stuff, incredibly easy).
When should I do it?
- Don't do it, when you are just starting out.
- You want to first build the habit and identity of someone working out.
- Then you can start building the identity of someone who works out hard.
How do I do it?
- Very simply, by gradually increasing the intensity and difficulty of your workouts.
- To the level you start fearing your workouts and at the same time being excited about the challenge.
- During your workouts: DOUBLE DOWN!
This is not for light hearted people, but if you want to build insane physical and mental strength, then you now know the secret to "crazy genetics"!
