Looking at the stats we need more gender equality in our prison population. We need 50/50 representation. Perhaps we need heavier sentencing for women convicted of crimes until we achieve equality.
Maybe you should focus on rehabilitating men and helping them in society so they both don’t go back to prison and don’t go prison in the first place. We already know that women don’t get given the same sentence when in the courts n now you want to let them out as you won’t help men.
Th stats clearly said 3,453 women and 82,953 men. Then why does Kate get away with downing the numbers of women to 3,000 and upping the number of men to 90,000? Besides that though, the criminal lawyer is on point.
I think Scarlett put her point across incredibly eloquently, and she's not arguing about the sentences that women get, that's not the debate - it's about the conditions. No-one can justify putting women away completely uncategorised, compared to the four tier categories that men are incarcerated with.

That's because women get off Scott free in most case because they are "women", it's not new information. You can say its equal but the rulings clearly show its not.
I think we should see those statistical figures through the eyes of the fact why is there such a large discrepancy towards men than women and why society is structured the way it is - favouring women
