So this intro takes place during a facility’s meltdown leading it to be abandoned. You can see a Coilhead leave its position and in the background hear screaming and implosions that come from dying to Coilheads. You also hear a Nutcracker open fire too at the end Idk who the shadow guy is though get a theorist on that one
Rise and shine, Mr Sigurd..Rise and shine. Not that I wish to imply you have been sleeping on the ship. No one is more deserving of a raise. And all the effort in the world would have gone to waste until...well, let's just say your company has come again. The right man on the wrong moon can make all the difference in the company. So, wake up! Mr Sigurd, wake up and ..smell the screams.
Anyone here played The Upturned ? Maybe its just because I was watching people play this game that was also made by Zeekers but this guy reminds me of "the morning" a character you see at the very end of that game(it even has the same sound you also hear at the end of The Upturned) or it could also be the main character of the Upturned because it looks like the dude we see in this cutscene is wearing a hat just like them.
@@motivatedman9730 You know the funny thing ? In the files that guy in the horse we see on the ending cutscene the file is named god so there is that theory
This cutscene shows one of the most important events of the game, most likely being the war in which coilheads, nutcrackers and maybe even jesters were used in, this is just one of the facilities being raided and im sure that this war was the cause of the moons being abandoned.
@@justaraimbowslime7041 rise... and shine... not that i wish to imply that you have been sleeping on the job, no one's more deserving of reaching quota
Worth noting: the calendar on the right says it's October 15th, which just so happens to be they date of the final log entry by Desmond, found on Titan.
Got this cutscene for the first time in VR, the sounds of fire alarms sweeping through the facility sounded almost too realistic, thought my alarm was actually going off. ZeekersS has some crazy sound design skill
Wake up, Mr Freeman. Not, to imply you've been, sleeping on the, job. No one would be more deserving, in the world, of a rest.... so wake up, Mr Freeman. Wake up, and smell the ass.
I have a feeling this is the invasion of the old birds because you can hear screaming and old birds also have a noise of a baby crying too. Then maybe the gun noise was a nutcracker trying to guard this house but failed. Then we see that bright light which could be an old bird finally getting in.
Man honestly it could be not that deep like there was a game which i forgot the name of where the robota made cow sounss to lure humans making them think its not dangerous out there @@monj6t
@@TheDweeb002 all i needed to do was to switch back from the beta to the previous version and back again. The cutscene only plays for the first time when you load up the open beta
Man Zeekerss is going absolutely wild with this game and I am all for it. I’m heavily considering getting one of two of his previous games because of Lethal!
Calendar is weirdly 6-day-week based, but the circled date is the 23rd (LC's release date) and the date that we can assume it is in the cutscene is the 15th (the last date of the demo weekend). So I can only assume the man in the door is the representation of depression that sets in when you can't play Lethal Company. The cries and screams in the background are clearly the agony felt by players as the demo weekend closed, leading to violent chaos for 8 days. All the lore here seems pretty clear to me.
genuinly sweated a few bullets as it all went down, you spend a few months away and suddenly you think your home is on fire to realising its the fallout of what will be an abandoned site you will raid
Huh, if lethal company ever got an intro cutscene i always thought it would be about you getting drafted or you finding the job... Oh well, this is also cool i guess
Some people have theorized that this is the drafting. The shadow-y figure appears from a sudden flash of a bright light from a door way that appeared out of nowhere, and Sigurd mentioned that him and his crew didn't remember anything before suddenly appearing on the ship. Gives off massive Half Life vibes, almost as if it were inspired by and took cues from Half Life. Heck, the Shadow Figure literally appears the same way the Gman sometimes appears in the Half Life series: via a bright door way that suddenly appeared out of nowhere.
You're either brain wiped before joining the company or cloned/manufactured in the first place. Not really something you can make a an intro cutscene out of I think
that's reallly coool so facility makes coilheads and cry baby mech thingys and boom scp containment breach, or maybe war like what everybody is talking about. really excited to figure out the rest
Jus realised that when before the povs alarm starts beeping, you can see a coilhead moving, then you can also hear a bracken snapping soemones neck and you can also hear a coilhead killing the girl and also a nutcracker shotgun sound, my theory is that one of the companies working spaces (example: places for the company to make new equipment and study certain species) was raided/malfunctioned and all the species/creatures they had locked up escaped, assuming that the door system of the company was connected or that this was the only working space they had explains why the moons were abandoned, thanks for reading :)
From what i can tell with the new "start up cutsene", that shadowed figure is probably the employee we see floating in space. Before it ends, he finds a door and opens it, which we see for a split second takes him to what looks to be this room.
Was I the only one who legit thought it was an error screen and kept restarting the game, restarting PC, uninstalling and reinstalling, only to find this video and realise it was a cutscene...
Everyone is sharing theory's so ill share mine. I think we're the person in the chair. I think this is our "recruitment" into the company. The reason you only see it sometimes is only a few employees remember being hired.
Theres a theory that the employees are undead and the company just reuses there bodies, which explains why they tax you for not returning the body. So what if they recruit you through death and just go to you when you die to steal your body and reanimate it, wiping your memory too. The v60 animation could be the same thing, them being you back after firing you and wiping your memory. That would also explain the door being some kind of company-brand teleportation device, like a portal.
My guess if what’s going on is that Old birds (the mechs created to conquer moons) are being used by the buemock military to attack the anglen capital, and that this is from the perspective of someone living a normal life there before it as taken over. If your confused the Old birds bestiary entry goes in depth about this.
I don't think the coil heads were killing people since you can see one in the room from the start, it also doesn't beeline toeards the protagonist but towards the door.
This happened the first time i launched with the VR mod. I started playing with the keyboard at the computer nervously and then i turned around. And i backed up into my real life desk making my monitor fall over onto my keyboard atleast it didnt fall on my laptop
you can update to v50 by right clicking on Lethal Company in your library and pressing the "Properties" button. you can go to the betas section and switch to the [public_beta] version. have fun!
I think a lot of people focus too much on the Coilhead while ignoring the rumble and the sound of the baby crying. I think we're looking at the last moments of the researchers on Artifice being attacked by the Big Birds.
I THOUGHT ITS AN ERROR SCREEN CUZ I TRIED TO LOAD IT WITH MODS! turns out its just a OPENING CUTSCENE. Jesus!))) Thnks for uploading this) Now i feel myself dumb
I didn't realize you could look around so I just heard the noises and saw nothing. Is there a way to get it to replay? Well, I'm sure it'll play again on the full release, anyway.
looks like youre seeing through desmonds eyes. i only assume based off the fact its october 15th and thats when desmond made the last log. not a whole lot to really string that together so its a leap based on dates and the fact youre at the computer. but still a cool idea if so.
Rise and shine, Mr. Freeman. Rise and shine. Not that I wish to imply you have been sleeping on the job. No one is more deserving of a rest. And all the effort in the world would have gone to waste until...well, let's just say your hour has come again. The right man in the wrong place can make all the difference in the world. So, wake up, Mr. Freeman. Wake up and smell the ashes.
