Cheers @20:50 - Morgan plots bigger the 1.5 are "shit"??? .965 - I've now done 2 games with 2.8-8.1 Morgan fields. 8 people (2 extra in reserve from when I screw-up people/timing). Amazing results (600+ barely per season). Never use ox (or i haven't tried in new patch so grain-of-salt). More barely/beer/malt then you can count, out doing tavern consumption (was only ~350 population) and trade route, and my beer granary had 1k excess beer when I finished both games. So, from my perspective your comments are poop - lol 🙂 I believe you mentioned before that about .8-1.0 per family, which seems to be true. So, 1 farmhouse (8 families) can do 6.4-8 Morgan. Split it as you like - I've done 3 fields at ~8morgan, crop rotation (1 field in use), works good too. This works if they are dedicated farmers (+burgage near farmhouse). If they are militia and miss Sept-Nov, you are screwed. The key is Sept-Nov - harvest (need extra storage people to help pick up), then plowing and sowing (people must be close to fields) - this is the only "job" where missing a few seconds of work can greatly reduce your yields.

Alcohol is so hard still, I import the barley and make enough that when I want to update something I open the pub and when I am done updating I close the pub, yes I take a hit on happiness but it works.

you can pause the game and after you upgrade the buildings just remove workers .

I have adopted these triangles over the old Bender build but did a central cluster of 9, that I call the cross roads. In that central cluster I have 4 plots, all with a workshop extension that I have put Goats/ chickens in. On either side I have a Granery, and a storehouse, at the top I have my Foragers huts and raw material processing, (Logs, Hides, etc.) in the same plot area's as the granery/ storage areas' I have more resource processing like the bloomery etc... and then I do a 2 x 2 Corpse Pit row of burgage plots maintaining the vertical and horizontal roads the full height of the build, these provide me with population density. Each of these 2 x 2 squares houses 5 houses facing in each direction for 10 total plots per rectangle. Stack that 3 high and you have 30 plots. So far this is working great.

I like your Idea with the diamond shape design and I agree that it'sn way more efficient. However, I just imagined living in such a village and I believe it would be a terribly boring place to live in. I mean there is no variety in the city design, just strict and repeating pattern so a person would end up walking forever through either apple fields or vegetable gardens where all buildings are like literally a mirrored copy of one-another. I understand that you focus on efficiency but I would have loved to see a little more creativity, variety and divercity - even if it comes at the cost of efficiency.

Hi everyone. Got 100+ hours in game now. Know most things. On latest patch. Got 12 burgages fully built. I've got 5 new burgages laid down but I've paused them to try to encourage the next family to move in next to malthouse. The market has 12 firewood but several houses are not getting it. Do you think this is due to the unbuilt burage plots needing firewood but the stall owner not putting it in because they're not built yet?

I'll answer this myself. Distance to market still applies to unbuilt burgages. If they are closer to your market they will block goods from getting to the more distant ones until they are finished.

Cheers TC - yes the stall holders will not increase how much product is in the stall for unbuilt burgages, but the game counts them as needing supplied so it leads to unsatisfied families. Quite frustrating.

Playing the 7.065 and I don't like the new prices for trade, 1 Veg is like 7 RW makes no sense. And a quality of life item I would really like is to be able to move families within Burgage plots.

Have to say, markets are not working for me since the patch. I have 10 families but it's acting as if I only have the original 5. markets show 5 of food x2 and clothing. That's it. I have 30 people with 118 meat, 190 berries, 260 veggies. lol I have empty stalls ... it's as if all the issues I wasn't experiencing that the patch fixed I am now experiencing. 🤦‍♂

I logged in to try out your plot strat with the triangles and even if i dont expand the level 1 plot living size, when I try to plant carrots on the triangle plots, my game crashes HARD. Guess i'll roll for another map for another 30 minutes and try again

any idea why i can’t get 100% fuel and food supply for my lvl 2 plots even though i have 3 different types of food and enough fuel for over 70 months? i’ve been creating more storage and granaries, even allowing woodcutters to open stalls, nothing seems to work, stuck with like 4 families complaining about fuel and food out of a little over 100
