I’m jealous of those who can control their bodily functions. I have a foley/diaper. I became paralyzed at 51. I am 53. I have a power chair and get embarrassed 🙈 of the smell. I don’t want to go out. UTI are so embarrassing. My husband is my care provider. I have many health problems besides spinal. I love watching both of you. You keep it real and honest.

I get overwhelmed by notifications, but really want to pay attention to these live chats; so when are they scheduled?

If you want to join us live, we record every Tuesday at 6pm (gmt +1) that’s my time in France. For Brittney it’s 10am in Alberta, Canada, so you can use that to find your time zone. Hope to see you later!

You talk about not doing things for disabled spouse in order to keep him/her active and independent. But how hard it must be for the other person to adress that. For me it would be super hard. However, for the long run, it's inevitable and healthy. Great to hear you. 😊

A question has come to me a number of times, and I think I have to ask it. When you 2 were talking about an issue that you have to do for the rest of your life, such as cathing or bowel routine, did you both think “why me”? I’ve thought that on lesser issues (not SCI), and I was wondering how you handled that thought.

It’s such an important skill for navigating uneven terrain, if you don’t practice them, that might be why you fall so often
