I know, isn't it crazy. I have 80% of my baking tools and cake decorating equipment now reredeployed in my studio lol. I nearly didn't post this stage on YT but guessed there may be some ideas that may help others. I do live a production line lol
Thankyou me too, super excited and patience is not my friend lol. The pastry cutting wheel is one of my favourite baking tools that now lives in my pottery studio lol
Thanks Michelle, I have a ton of footage to slowly work through so hoping to do one a week if possible. Getting back to grips with the editing side. Thanks for all the support xx
Thankyou Audrey. Once these test tiles have been fired I'll share my technique for knocking off the bottoms, the sanding process and the finished tiles hung on the wall. Its quick simple and a space saving solution for me :)
Thanks Julia. You know me, love a production line :) Sadly using ceramic rods wouldn't work for a couple of key reasons. It would take up significantly more space in the kiln for firing , also the hole would mean the glaze would be running in the wrong direction if that makes sense.
Thankyou ,super excited to see if I have any success, although I don't think I'll be that lucky on my first attempt lol. I've chosen 20 glaze recipes from Joe at old forgecreations, using his 'first five' base ingredients.
If you knock off the bottom after firing, how do you then know which is which, or does it not matter if you have put them on the IG filing cabinet, and have a record?
I add the code with a sharpie on the upright. Easy to do once the base is knocked off. I tried to add rhe number on the upright, but if a glaze runs ut can cover the ref on the upright. When I get to that stage I'll try to include on the videos through to my Insta filing cabinet and test tile wall if it's of interest.
