Fact I got out of fishing to work for a tree service that made Me able to get back to fishing and all the chips went to a boiler that dried firewood for the greenies And 6 years later I'm back with them I'll just say hydraulics hydraulics hydraulics and he has it
I'm not around the grinder often but what I'm told is it's to slow with the small screens to run it through the first time. Big momma runs it through twice doesnt she?
At peak production the Grinder is putting out more than 400 yards an hour. But his average might be in the 300 yards pre hour for the job. In the past we used a 2" Baffle screen for the final pass. The Baffle prevents spears in the finish product. Great video. I really enjoy grinding.
Thanks for the info Al. Ya lots of spears in this stuff. I didn't get any video of the regrind but should be there to check out the final product today.
Good day WOW that would be fun. I bought my only bro a small 8 hp, slow job , but it does clean. The hoe bucket reminds me of a hand, fingers on 1 side thumbe on other, & he really can clean up good. Boy they must charge a fair dollar for mulch, to make up for 2 machines. I wonder what that big gtinder would cost, new? Thanks for now
My dad ran a chip plant in Maine for many years making high grade hardwood chips for Boise cascade paper. And obviously all the wood was debarked before it was chipped. So they used to sell some of the bark to biomass plants and the rest they stock piled and an outfit would come in and grind it and turned it into mulch. Finish product. They used different dyes to make it different color. It was quite the process. But they didn’t use wood. Just the bark.
That operator has 2 more hours than you in the seat Kev, that is a beast to grind the tree waste up - wonder why they didn't go for the smaller grind the first go around, but means another video.
i think its easier on the machine and faster to run the big screens first and then regrind. ya he has been running a hoe for awhile now makes me look really bad haha Thanks for watching
I believe Wade runs theirs thru twice as well. Looks like 2 operators would be hustling to keep this hungry beast feed!😮 Thanks for sharing, Chipper Kev!👍
@@SkidderKev The sales people always convince her we need atleast 2 more yards, then it takes for all the walking trails in Yellowstone National Park every year!
