This let’s play will be pretty cool because I have exclusively watched people play randomizers of this game where every grass and trainer Pokemon is fused. It will be interesting to see what the “Normal Game” Pokemon are.

Important Tip Time Part 2! Whenever you beat a Gym Leader you get 1 or more Premium Wonder Trade tickets! These allow you to trade any of your Pokemon for a guaranteed fused Pokemon! To trade go up the stairs in a Pokemon Center. Do keep in mind that you can't unfuse a traded Pokemon though, so you're stuck with what ya get.

Fun fact: one of the randomizer options in this game lets you randomize the types of the Gyms, and that also changes any dialogue mentioning the Gym’s type, which can lead to Brock saying something like “I believe in Ghost-hard defence!” Also, some information about Fusions at the Trainer’s School is outdated; the Pokemon you select first with the DNA Splicer no longer effects which Pokemon is the head or the body, that’s now what you choose with the silhouettes. I don’t remember if I’ve mentioned this already, but here’s a tip: you can fuse Pokemon right from the PC! One last thing, make sure to use that Premium Wondertrade Ticket! Trust me, you would be able to tell the difference between a computer generated fusion, and a fusion that was created by an artist; the computer ones pretty much just amount to palette swaps with the face of the other Pokemon slapped on, lol

Haven't watched yet since I'm still finishing part 1 but just so you know when you fuse pokemon any sprite that appears green is a custom sprite made by the devs anything grey will appear as an amalgamation

Fun fact about the dna reverser, reversing a fusion will not change its ability, so you can get fusion with abilities they couldnt have if fused that way originally

In the 'randomized' mode, you'd have to be lucky to find the 'trade' Pokemon, because every Pokemon is fused, and you may never get those trade Pokemons until much MUCH later in the game.

Well, that answers my question about fusion evolutions. Ooh, quests! My guess on the no unfusing is that there needs to have been two base Pokemon to unfuse into.

He's super self absorbed, but he's pretty nice to you at times and clearly sees you as a friend... of sorts. He just thinks he's better than you. Don't forget that you can pick abilities in fusions as well. An ability that might be useless on a pokemon due to stats or typing could be super broken in the right fusion

I don't have anything important to say but the algorithm ain't gonna suck itself.

There will come a time later in the game where you could make the butterbat forget that it was a traded pokemon. But you would be better off just grabbing another bug at this point.

I am seeing just came for the first time with guys. I find it curious how they use Gen 5 sprites for almost all of the NPCs and I like how they made new sprites for usually gender locked classes I really don't like how the battle music loops tho

Yeah, there are so many quality of life stuff and broken mechanics that makes doing a Gen 1 Nuzlocke agonizing but it's definitely a test in patience😥

I think you missed something with the quests, it's the nerd who told you about the quests that has good rewards, the quest givers has rewards, but those are not that powerful

i hope you try out pokemon unbound if romhacks are on the table. emulators can fastforward it though all the audio would unfortunately be sped up too. but there are things to compensate like having interchangeable difficulty options (hard mode + full party EXPshare for one), surf having a turbo mode like mach bike, quick use-HMs, some fast travel NPCs before you get fly, all among other conveniences. plus its got a cool story and (mostly) fun side quests imo.
