Joaquin Segura Because the AI could win in one attack it attacked him and ignored the equips. I guess the coding of the AI makes it attack before factoring in equips if it thinks it can win with one attack.
Man, seeing this in my YT recommendeds is crazy- this LP brings up so many forbidden memories since you were the first person I ever subbed to (on my long lost old accounts). Hope you're doing well Scope and glad to see this vid at a million+ views at the time I'm writing!
Scope, wherever you are, godspeed. This LP is one or my favorites, and I love your duelists of the roses one as well. Thanks for all the fun. I wish you'd had the chance to make a LP for the Falsebound Kingdom to complete the whole series, but I know life sometimes takes these things away. Hope you're doing well, wherever you are!
I'm not sure if he was actually surprised or not in regards to the suicide glitch. In which, if someone is watching this video and doesn't know about it yet; If you are low on LP and you have a monster out with equip spells, if the AI brings out a monster with a big enough difference between it and your monster's ORIGINAL attack, they will think that they can finish you off with that battle. They ignore the fact that you have it equpped, though they will still note field effects.
Once you return to Egypt after the tournament, defeat TWO high mages, NO MORE. Go to the hidden dueling grounds and Jono will take you to the palace. You'll have to fight the labyrinth mage and then you will get to duel Seto 2.
Thank you so much for this walkthrough. I've always been a fan of yugioh, and I really wanted to see this world with Teana, Jono and Kaiba actually owning the Rod!! Fantastic and very engaging.
Thanks for this. Great LP. Some times my day job gets me an hour or two of screen time, so I've been watching this series over the past week. Appreciated.
1 million starchips 3 million if you don't use memory card duping 5 per duel 5 minutes per duel 1 million minutes of effort 1000000÷60= 170000 hours 170000÷24= 70000 days 70000÷360= 1500 years
This video has over a million views?!!! I was rewarding your series from you cause this is one of my favourite LPs. I'm so happy for you! Congratulations Scope!
this game was... incredible. i started playing this game like 10 years ago and never finished it. i finished it today T.T i'm crying. never bored of this game. it's the best game ever
many folks forget that this game came out when yugioh first started before season 2(not counting the japan version)so the rules are basic and simple and no tributes to bring out monsters like dark magician, bewd etc...
Game is definitely underrated for sure. I might sound biased due to love and nostalgia for the Yu-Gi-Oh! but this game feels quite simple game with a different and unique blend of rules it feels like your playing deck of cards (Closet thing I could think of.) but with with the Yu-Gi-Oh! aspects and elements towards the game with a nice type of touch called Guardian Stars. Has a really great soundtrack, old school characters from Yu-Gi-Oh! and must be the Origin of Yu-Gi-Oh! I mean literally THE ORIGIN of this series before the the whole Bakura and Egyptian God cards with events and the whole Yugi and Yami Yugi thing (Except they were in the Tournament Arc in that game.) and I really liked the Story due to its simplicity with alot of History while making the whole story around cards mostly. I think that is a pretty unique story and I hear the series is going strong due to Arc-V (Haven't seen it yet but I might.) I feel like I just did a review for Yu-Gi-Oh! Forbidden Memories. lol.
I don't think I said Yugioh FM is underrated for the Yugioh games franchise, but if we were talking about all of the ps1 games that were released then yeah it would be underrated.
Do you know how much grinding the game requires? More of this game is grinding than actually going through the story... Furthermore, the game is very luck based; this is fine, given what it is based on, but the main way it derives difficulty in its final boss is by forcing you to fight a ton in a row, where you need to have good luck on every battle...
I felt so good when I beat this game a couple months ago xD lol I remember when I was a kid, I could never beat all of the mages and my best was twin headed thunder dragon. Lol
Nightmare doesn't have any trap or magic cards. I will agree he's easier than Seto 3rd because he does not draw ultimate dragon as frequent but its in his deck.
To be honest you should never summon Twin-Headed Thunder Dragon in your first draw against Seto 3rd, no matter wich first card he puts it will always be bigger than 3000ATK. You shouldshould get rid of useless cards and put them in defense mode and see what he plays first AND THEN you can summon it + the equip. Just saying bruh, because this is how he owned you
Love this Let's Play always come back to it. Bringing back memories of this game. Aslo in the final battle, you mentioned that Nightmare doesn't have the BEUD. I'd just like to confirm he has 3 of them. He doesn't drop them as often as Seto 3d, but he has them.
I guess that's how the game works. That has happened to me too where I was able to make a super strong Gemini Elf or Dark Elf with a bunch of different female equip cards getting their attacks to 5000 plus and Heishen, Seto, etc. kept attacking me even though his monsters got destroyed everytime.
I played the hell out of this game when I was growing up. Seeing it again brings back wonderful memories. Love how a pumped up Great Mammoth of Goldfine was the key to your victory against Seto in the end. Always satisfying when you can win with a wildcard.
Yu-Gi-Oh! Forbidden Memories, that was the first yugioh game I played back then on playstation. I remember playing it a lot. I never got as as far as you are in this video with that final boss and dark lord character.
I just finished this game in PC without cheat password, but why i can't continue play? After beat darknite & nightmare, there's credit with music..and blank (oops)
Simple my ass. This game makes me appreciate the new cards and long list of rules we have now. Blue eyes white dragon, and Blue eyes ultimate dragon summoned without even tributing, really?
you know at first when i started watching this LP i didn't really likes scopes commentating but after a couple episodes i started to really enjoy it and thank you man for bringing back childhood memories, now i'm gonna pick this game up again and finally beat it lol
This game took me hours and hours just to get tons of starchips to buy cards like Crimson Sunbird and Flame Cereberus.... I mean, it nearly destroyed me, but I still love this game nonetheless. :) I know I still have good cards in my PS1 save file like the Meteor B. Dragon and the Skull Knight. :)
If I made a top 10 most frustrating games list, this game would take the number 1 spot automatically, i don't give a shit what the other games on the list. This game is even harder than Ninja Gaiden on the NES.
brings back good memories :) i was around 4 when my older brother was playing this game hardcore. he got one of his friends to give him a bunch of those 3500 monsters. even with all our grinding and that we could never beat the game xD
dat feel when no memory card until years later. dat feel when I had to finish my games in one sitting dat feel when mum made me turn off my system to go play outside dat feel when no qt 3.14 gf
***** Damn I had the same problem. And sometimes you just had the bad luck of going up against Kaiba or Villager2/3 and they fuse to get their strongest monster.
***** Lol glad to know I wasn't alone. This happened to me while playing Ratchet and Clank: Up your arsenal. Was about to beat the game when unfortunately my mom came in and turned off the PS2 and forced me to go play outside lol. Happened to me like 3-4 times, sometimes I tried barricading the door hahaha.
+The Resistance Thanks for bringing back those memories. This was one of the first games (besides the original Rayman) I've been trying to beat in one sitting and I never really did (I think my cousin had a memory card but it was full/broken, can't really remember). Good times.
Awsome playthrough i love this game one of my favorites of all times and actualy one of the only Yu-Gi-Oh games i played or ever will. You did epic things like striaght run through no memory carding to get 3 of your best cards, sped up grinding was awsome perfect balance between those wanting to see it and those that dont. Wish you had shown off more battles scenes especialy at sages to show of the lands.
This game isn't impossible. Just requires patience, luck, and good knowledge of the game to beat. If you understand fusions and cosmic alliances, you can stretch your cards out to defeat more powerful ones. Meteor B. Dragon is the most powerful card you can acquire from dueling. It's a must have for end game. That along with my Skull Night + power ups helped me pass it. At 14:40, the computer only sees a card with its base stats, that's why it attacked. You can use this to your advantage. Also, I noticed with a lot of high mages and bosses, if you place a good card on attack on your first turn, they will almost always put down a magic card leaving their LP open for attack.
if only Card Destruction exist in this game then Seto 3rd would not be as hard as this. at the start of duel, quickly activate it so Seto would have to discard his hand. BEUD and Harpie Feather Duster (99% possibility he has both in his hand on first turn)
I remember playing this on the ps2 and because no ps1 memory card I could never save so I never really got to play or enjoy the game entirely. but I gotta say the fusing of cards was amazing but I was so young I guessed all the time and most of the time didn't get shit lol
This is one of my favorite games possibly of all time. I rented this by accident back in the early 2000's and thought it kind of sucked right away. But kept with it and BAM! Bomb diggity shiiit
Seto 3 is the embodiment of dark souls in card games. Known for having: 3 ultimate dragons (yes 3) 3 featherdusters 3 raigekis YIKES. hated this fight beat it without the speedrunners best friend twin-headed thunder dragon. Meteor B dragon boys
that loss was amusing the curses are real yay the game is done, i like it i wish another game used this fusion mechanic even as an entirely different dtcg game
***** yeah but actually, the cards he used either are from a mod game or hacked, getting cards like those takes more than 100 duels EACH... i have played this game for more than 8 months when i was younger, and barely got 1 or 2 good cards; so beating this game in a legit way would take a pretty darn long time
antoine lamour game doesnt recognize megamorph properly (i guess) and therefore he thinks it has just 2700 atk and therefore attacks with blue eyes and thunder dragon
+antoine lamour When the game checks for lethal damage, the AI doesn't check equips. Essentially: the AI checks the monster's base attack + field bonuses against eachother, and if it would normally be a lethal attack (he has 300 lp), he'll attack.
the game did come out in the states before the battle city arc started ya know. they were still in the duelist kingdom arc when this came out on march 2002. plus most of the story is based in ancient egypt more so than yugi's timeline.
man ur the best dualest ive seen, ive made it to the labrynth and all and taking your "grinding advice" and its working good so far. i got time wizard after 20 duals with jono haha! and i got some of ur deck so far but i just need the meteor b. dragon. sadly i passed all of the 2nd people and can only do the labrynth :(
