Fun fact, Anakin was only 26 during this time. The monumental strength he has and the pure rage he was feeling. This was Darth Vader at his absolute peak.

The best part of this scene is that the game does a fantastic job of actually telling people about the world they're in. Even if you have never interacted with Star Wars content before. This game gives you a great idea of the world you're in. Everyone gets an introduction. But Vader needs no introduction. The player instantly knows who he is the moment they hear him breathe.

RIP Jame Earl Jone, He is the reason why Darth Vader is my favorite Star Wars Character of all time and one of the main reason why I love The Lion King, Coming to America etc... I'm sad that he gone and happy they he was born to do greatness with his talent acting and voice acting. I too have a speech problem and afraid to talk to other, but unlike me he overcame his speech problem and turn it into something powerful and magical that made my childhood wonderful. Like it say in the outsider movie nothing Gold can stay, Stay bright and Golden in Heaven Jame aka Lord Vader you will be missed but never forgotten, we your fans truly love you.

This is the CORRECT way to introduce Vader. First the scene shows Trilla being held captive by an unknown force as we hear loud footsteps coming closer, and we don’t know who it is until the breathing becomes audible, and then we see Trilla fill with fear as she knows by now that her life is over. The fear is shared by Cere and Cal as they look in helplessly as Vader strikes her down before tossing off Cere effortlessly. The “fight” itself is also brilliant, first you obviously try to combat Vader, thinking that this will be like other Star Wars games where you can in fact win the fight before getting owned immediately and likely figuring out that you can’t. After a few failures you’ll notice the actual way out, and even then the chase is intense as you barely escape the grasp of the fearsome Sith Lord.

Right before you hear his breathing, the game just falls silent. No dialogue, no music. Then you start hearing Vader's faint breathing and once it's clear it's him, Anakin's Dark Deeds starts playing. Not overly loud either. The whole vibe IMMEDIATELY changed. Vader just has that insane presence to him. Especially in a game where no one even talked about him and he only shows up at the very last minute, he still manages to be the single most memorable thing about the game, which says a lot, considering it was actually a good game. The way Cere just goes "it's him..." says it all. No explanation needed. That's the second most dangerous man in the galaxy that just showed up and evetyone knows it

People frequently forget that Vader was a DEMON in the Expanded Universe. You had to have INSANE plot armor to square up with Vader and walk out in anything but a casket. Cal and Cere had the right idea, because **RUN** is the only way you survive a Vader encounter if your name doesn’t end in “Skywalker,” “Tano,” or “Kenobi.” And even then, EVERY SINGLE ONE of those names listed had to flee a fight with Vader because he was THAT strong.

Scenes like this really show what Palpatine meant when he told Yoda "Lord Vader will become more powerful than EITHER of us". Imagine if Vader won on Mustafar.

What makes this a great scene, is this is one of those instances where less is more. Even if you aren't a SW fan, everyone has at least heard the breathing. And it's the fact that Vader only comes in at the end of the game that really makes it work. Even though I personally liked stuff like the Obi-Wan series and Rebels, they had a problem that they used him too much. The original trilogy worked because Vader was only on screen when something big was happening. He was this man/machine that when he comes in, you automatically know crap is going to go down. And in this case, beside the breathing, he has no foreshadowing or proper introduction. But it works due to that past involvement in other media. So when you hear that breathing, many people get chills, not because it's a pop culture icon, but once he says, "you have failed me inquisitor" and turns on the lightsaber, you know exactly who this man is. Maybe not by name, but using this and Trilla's fearful reaction, you know this is a dark force of pure chaos. Basically looking into death itself.

He's "the chosen one" a battle hardened vet, an anguished rage filled Darth, and a general all around monster that killed hundreds of Jedi. Fighting shouldn't be a realistic option.

This game does an amazing job of building you up. You feel your character going stronger and stronger from start to finish.. But then it cuts you down to size. "hey, this is strength. You're still just a bug in the grand scheme of things".

Came back here just to feel how spine chilling his reveal was compared to Jedi Survivor. Here, it starts off with silence while the camera focuses on Trilla and her inner conflict as his breathing apparatus fades in from the background, then the camera gets wide and pans past Trilla as his breathing gets more prevalent and louder. You know what is coming, and it CANNOT be good for all party present. Then, the breathing takes center stage, he reveals himself head first as if he was walking towards us from the edge of the horizon, then he drops down *THUD* his boots fill in the silence. It is over for Trilla, and maybe for both you as Cal and Cere. The three of you know the horror in which Darth Vader can inflict by just being in his presence, your survival, now more than ever, is uncertain. In Jedi Survivor: Cere: *opens a door* Vader: *jumpscares you and then* May I talk to you about our lord and savior Sheev Palpatine?

I remember the first time I played this game and I heard the breathing and Vader appeared. My jaw dropped and I just muttered oh...shit.....

When I saw Vader, my first thought was "shit, he's going to kill Cal..." And when I started to run away and I saw the ease with which Vader started to destroy everything, again I thought "Hoooly shiit, Cal is fucking deaaad!!!"

This part, along with every encounter with the Dahaka from Prince of Persia, were the only moments when a game made me feel terrified while controlling a powerful character.

Cannot get behind the Cere-hate in this scene. She knew Cal had the holocron; she was trying to buy him time. And they were both so incredibly, entirely, and completely fucked: she probably knew that when she charged.

Cal was supposed to have struggled against Trilla. But for Vader to just render Trilla useless speaks volumes to the power gap between the games characters and Vader.
