Great video. I have a 2011 F250 6.2L V8 gas 2WD with 215,000 miles. Like you said knock on metal but it has been a reliable truck even up here in the Midwest.
I got a 2013 f350 crew cab with a 6.2 and regularly tow 12-13,000 pounds with it. Not the best up super steep hills but gets around just fine. If I got a new truck tomorrow it would be another gasser
Love it! Currently have a 21 Ranger Tremor, obviously has the whole 9 yards and then some. But I am looking at a 2012 F250 with 120k miles. Its about $24k cheaper and all I truly need
I bought a 2012 f250 6.2 gas w/ 6speed Lariat with all leather heated/ac seats and ford factory installed tow package this year w/ 85k miles for $23,500. I am pretty happy with it so far. I plan on pulling a 10k lb 5th wheel camper with it.
Great truck and video! I have a 2015 crew cab. The 6.2 does love to rev. I got a 5 Star tuner for it and towing in the mountains and cross country with 11k lbs got much easier. Have fun!!
My perfect truck! Great attitude. I like 'Old School' philosophy especially when it's the same engine, but what th hell...high RPM is max hp. I think they improved on that with better tq. And a dude called, Godzilla.
I’m looking at one now with 30k mikes in it. Super clean. Same truck but white and it’s a f350. Regular cab and standard bed will always be a favorite. Hope you put some helper springs on yours.
Thank you I've been doing work with v10 and it gets 5mpgs while pulling 10k dump trailer it lifted with 37" now I'm looking at single cab 4x4 130k I'm getting Monday
You probably get better mpg than my '12 F150 with the 3.7L V6 lol. I get 10mpg right now. I'm on some lift and 33s soooo lol. I did see a crew cab F250 XL only 2wd around 140ish for $8k. F250s are nice. I drive 2 of them sometimes at work.
Awesome video, love the truck! Got any advice on where to find one of these for a good deal ? What do you think of it compared to a 12v cummins if you've ever had experience with one of those ? They seem to be a reliable and relatively affordable diesel option too.
The key of a good economy "it's payed... " Yes .. even if it's not the top of the line, I always prefer to buy things cash , I got some trucks , every one was paid cash, I don't care that they are old, I don't want to do payments .. I buy a truck that I can work with... Not to be a slave on payments
What you have is a great truck! I don't see any need in a diesel, unless that's all you've had and are loyal to them. I would much rather not smell the stink of diesel smell.
Hello, i found this while looking into a work truck for myself. So im wondering, Do you still have that truck? whats the miles now and how has it treated you? One im going to look at is a 2011 with 129k. Opinions on it now if you still have it? thanks, and good info in the vid
Still own it. I had a service body installed about 2 years ago, and it’s been worth it. Truck has about 140k on it now. Works every day. Only real issues has been a couple of brake calipers, and it drinks gas like there’s no tomorrow. All in all it’s been a great truck. It’s nothin special but it gets the job done.
Nice video. Im thinking of getting one. Im a contractor but have a lot of work really close to me so I’m only doing about 6000km per year. I need a bigger truck but diesel doesn’t like short trips so I’m looking at the ford 6.2 or Chevy 6.0 both great engines
Going up a hill it was @ 4K rpm bout an hour a really about 5 minutes Okay 4K rpms is nothing for that design that engine could do that all day Got this hill it’s steep hard on the truck .. it pulls a load , loaded down , a I can do 70mph Zzzzzzz
