I love seeing all the sportsmanship at the end. I grew up sprinting in the 90's, and it wasn't like this. It was FAR more tense. Bolt changed all that with his laid back and friendly style. Very happy to see it.
After watching the Worlds last year, I actually think this is the guy to watch for the Olympics. I think he can cause major upsets in both the 100m & 200m. Races like this simply confirms my predictions. Bar injuries, he definitely has the goods to be the best. Go Letsile.
For those who have followed sprinting since the 80s.... after the last 40 meters of the 200 meters of Tebogo's 200 meters in the London race, 23 july 2023, everything else is not news: Most Quality Sprinter In History, simply this.
You didn't see Noah working on his 60m and break the record yesterday, so u will see his 100m and 200m will have some fast times 2024 in Paris ,he is looking for the quick start
I thought Bolt could run 400 under 43 sec, because I saw many times he ran 200 semi-finals around 20.0 sec with no fatigue and I couldn't imagine more 23 sec was necessary for the latter 200. But Bolt has a little weakness for the final stretch even in 200 race, and Tebogo he doesn't have that. Tebogo may be the very one who can break 43 barrier.
Bolt was too lackadasical, if Bolt had put out more than what he put in he could've easily reset his records, his coach said its a pity we havnt seen the best of him.Usain was galivanter country come to town... where's the pasa pasa dance.
@@TAM.w39 Don't be ignorant. Bolt worked incredibly hard. Saying anything other than that is a lie. He was relaxed on race day. Doesn't mean he didn't train hard. He just didn't particularly like training for 400m. That's all.
@@chris5240 Apparent you havnt read my article properly or you're of the opinion I'm just fabricating things, COACH Mr MILLS said we HAV'NT seen the best of USAIN and what better person is there to make such a statement.Bolt is a party animal, attending Carnival in Trinidad, bike racing on the airport road, an athlete of his stature shouldnt have time for galivanting, he does train hard but not as continuously as the regular a World Class athlete. Now believe it or not did you know I was of the believe he was going to break those sprint records!I came to that conclusion when he ran that 10.03 beating Wallace Spearmon in his first official 100m contest in 2007 this is after he achieved that silver behind Tyson Gaye at the World Champs.
@@will__gz3096 no to break the 200 record you need crazy top end speed …. He doesn’t have it. The closest person to that now is lyles and he’s not breaking it
His form looks so effortless. Somewhat reminiscent of Usain Bolt’s effortless appearance. They’re moving like a cheetah while looking like a gazelle going for a jog.
Tobago is talented and a complete sprinter. He is truly world class in all the 3 sprints. He is in very limited company when it comes to this. He is only 20, and now really learning to slow down on the showboating.19.50 in the 200m. He is improving every year.
For context while this event is usually only ever run early on the season as a sort of fitness test, this is faster than both Bolt and Wayde van Niekerk...
well he cant win the 100 or 200 due (mainly) to Lyles, and the 300m isnt an official distance, so that leaves the 400m and hes got no times that rank in that. He's just outside the very top in all distances. Give him time and he 'could' take Lyle's place, but thats a big if.
I think focusing on the 100m will greatly improve top speed for his 200m as he seems like he has natural strength insurance at the 300m. I see him with potential to claim a 200m world record along side his 300m world record. 400m is totally a different beast.
@@timn4481That's not really accurate especially since Lyle's is not the person to beat in the 100🤔 you are leaving out Kerley and Coleman for some reason. And if he's running that fast right now in the 300 then he can definitely go in the low 19's for the 200 and challenge Lyles. I agree with the original comment that he should focus on the 200 & 400. He could go definitely 43 low. If you compare his progression Wayde the previous record holder at 300, he has already run faster than him in 200 so if I'm running this fast now is why I say he should go in the low 19's and challenge Lyle's.
@TrainProductions The 400m IS a sprint. It's not like it's an 800m race. It is a sprint like the 100m and 200m. Wayde had to do speed training with Bolt and Blake in Jamaica before he broke the 400m record. Speed is the key to all the sprints and Tebogo (and Lyles) has that. This is why Tebogo can run 44 secs in the 400m, and why a 200m Jamaican sprinter was able to step up to the 400m and win the World Championships, and why Noah has offered to run the 4x400m this year as well because he has the speed reserve to do it. The faster your top speed, the easier it is to run below your top speed for an extended period of time.
That is the thing about Noah Lyles no one seems to understand, Noah loves challenges. I can guarantee you he will attempt and most likely will break this WR
I think this kid can be a sensation at the 400 also and even be the first to break that 43 sec barrier. When you see the ease of his 300 run with that time he would only need to run a final 100 in 12 seconds
@@danielbatten1837 He ran the fastest and relaxed he could for this 300m. He wasn't going to keep up that pace for another 12 secs. It's a different race strategy.
Don't forget Erriyon Knighton. Right now Lyles is the the best at 200m. But honestly I believe there is more potential in Tobago and Knighton. It would be great to see these two youn sprinters compete against each other in more races. I think they will surpass Noah Lyles in the next 3 years.
He's run 19.5 in the 200m for the African record and he's run 9.88 in the 100m. With training it's definitely possible for someone to go sub 43 secs. Michael Johnson is the only one who's done it but that was in a relay.
yest another high altitude record. We've seen 3 in 2 days. All set at higher than 1000m elevation. In this case he 'may' have got the WB anyway but we'll never know. Bring back the 'asterisk' alongside the time IAAF.
This guy is famous for showboating and slowing down crossing the line. Maybe if he kept running all the way like in this case, he’d have a few more records by now.
He's famous for winning and breaking African and age group records easily. He set a record while talking smack to a competitor who he had a conversation with before that race. He also set his first record months before that Junior Championship race. He's only showboated in 2 noticeable races and slowed down in 1 race (he got 2 records in those 3 races). He slowed down while breaking the 100m under 20 record in Botswana, then he showboated/talked smack and got the 100m under 20 record again in the finals at the Junior World Championships in 2022, and he slowed and showboated a bit in the 300m race last year when he easily got top 10 all-time. He commented that he was doing it to excite the crowd not to disrespect his competitors and it was for suspense so you'd have to watch him go faster in a later race. He has since stopped showboating as you can see in ALL of his races since that 300m last year. He's only missed one record even with all that showboating and slowing down and that was his 300m race last year. That's it, so he'd have gotten the record he got in this video earlier, no more. Bolt has done similar things while winning and breaking records. Do your homework before you leave ignorant comments.
@@gmaxsfoodfitness3035 well you are obviously a fan of his and did your homework. I appreciate your comments, really. But don't call me ignorant. He's showboated and it got shown on multiple videos. Maybe he had his reasons for it, as you mention, but it detracted from his rise to fame. People tend to only remember the negative. He's not the only athlete doing this. I'm tired of Ato Bolden and other commentators speaking in smooth terms of "and he shuts it down early" like reinforcing this new trend to slow down and approach the finish line is a hot bed of coals. Its disgusting to me that a world class athlete can't run a full 100 meters when they are winning.
He just beat bolts(100m, 200m world record holder), van niekerks(400m, previous 300m world record holder), michael johnson(previous 200m and 400m world record holder) pbs in the 300m in this one race. Goddamm
