Looks like you’re going to have a fun afternoon. When I was working on my Masters at Stanford several years ago I lived in Paso Robles California and took the train to San Diego for a long weekend. It’s a fun time riding it. It sounds like they protected you from what we’ve heard so far. I’m sorry you had that void of not seeing your parents for such a long time. I can’t imagine how that felt. I’m glad you’re healing from it the best you can. You have such a old soul about you. Soft spoken and take the time to tell us. Your integrity is such a great part of who you are. I hope you had a great time at the thrift market with the kids. Looking forward to the next part of your letter videos. Happy Sunday eve.

Thank you for giving us insight to what your life was like. Ok so the empath and a mom here, just wants to give you a hug. You came out on the other side as a strong, very wise adult and for that, always give yourself grace. Have fun with your kiddos and thanks for the peeks of my old Pacific Ocean. Miss those beautiful trips up and down the coast‼️❤️

About the audio, English is only my third language but I can understand everything perfectly, even at 1.5x speed. I very much appreciate you taking the time to talk to us, a snippet of real life to me is infinitely more interesting than a polished high-gloss video produced in a studio.

girl I don’t know how you can ride on that thing going backwards😂. When I was little we had a station wagon that had a 3rd seat facing backwards, couldn’t sit in that one! Yes, I’m old lol

Jenna, you are getting better and better with your vlogs!! As a mom of 3 a grandmother of five and with 7 siblings I have a TON of family that I'm close to. Even though my childhood was abusive having the love of my kids and grandkids has helped me heal. So, I'm sending you GIANT mom hugs❤❤

Never really thought of it, but its weird how in COS, kids are suppose to be treated like adults, yet there are some things you can't do. (I.E. Dive, drink beer, smoke, etc...)

Just to say, the subtitles were decent on here, and you're easy to lipread, so I could follow.

You have the best intro. It's kinda hard to hear you because of the other noise.

Listening to someone in your family ridicule family relationships and disparage your parents had to be so painful and scary when you were a child. It had to be horrific longing for those close connections and wondering why and wanting someone to long for you. You are lucky that you were able to stay with your parents long enough that you are able to understand and want those relationships now. I imagine there are some children raised that way who will always be emotionally crippled. Did it take you a while to fall in love with your children when they were born? My mother was somewhat detached and cold when I was a child. I always imagined that parent child love would happen immediately after birth but it took about a month for that wave to wash over me, with my first one. When it happened for the first time I almost passed out. Lol. I had never felt an emotional connection like that and it just slammed into me. I think it is the difference between loving your child and being in love with your child.

The background noise was a little to distracting for me, I have trouble to focus sometimes. I love your answering videos! 🫶🏼

Great video. But perhaps next time try to find a good mic and a bit of backhround noise suppression. I struggle with auditory processing.

I'm pleased to report that I did struggle through to the end and managed to make out most of what you were saying. It's usually better to record these things without very loud background noise, such as strong wind, leaf blowers, jet planes taking off or motorcycle races, just to name a few. (Sorry, couldn't resist.) 😉

The good news is that for whatever reason, I could hear you just fine. ❤️ AND, I loved the views❤️
