I got a 2019 STI I’m Stage 2+ Cobb SF Intake Invidia Catted Downpipe ETS Catback This set up sounds amazing only thing I recommend is also doing your Fuel Injectors if you’re going to do downpipe and intake because your subie will need more fuel with that set up. I’m also in the IE i noticed you were filming in Jurupa Valley
lmao no way! I think ima do intake for a while bc the tomei is loud lol and i work early but hey man once i do so since you’re in the IE you down to help out ?👀
STi._Cris I have one on all my subies, it’s a little time consuming since you have to remove the Intercooler , Intake and battery to have access to the pcv ports on the side of the heads and remove all the old pcv stuff. The hardest part is making sure your hoses are cut to size and are draining properly. IAG makes the best one imo and looks the cleanest.
Make a plan and figure out your end goal for your subie. Figure out the purpose you want to drive it for. After that make a list/blueprint of the mods you want and start with an accessport purchase first that fits your year model STI. This way you don’t waste money and time. Then meet with a proper tuner and let him/her know your mod list so he/she can tune accordingly for the parts you decide purchasing and installing. You don’t want to use OTS of the shelf tunes for your parts, do the proper actual tune with a trusted tuner and let the tuner know your goal. Just my 2 cents. Time is money.
DCCD is different from what you are describing with your friend actually. It’s a differential function control. It doesn’t deal with the throttle response like you trying to describe it. It’s in charge of choosing which part of the vehicle all the power is distributed to. Front, rear wheel only or AWD. DCCD is the option to switch from front wheel drive only, rear wheel drive only either manually or automatically. The intelligent, sport, and sport sharp function is to control the throttle response how fast it picks up on the flywheel as you step on the accelerator. Intelligent mode is less responsive to conserve gas, sport is the equal medium, and sport sharp is the most aggressive and responsive to build the RPMS and boost to kick in sooner/faster/more aggressively. Hope this helps. I drive a 2020 pure red STI. There’s more about my subie I don’t know about, but I definitely researched about the throttle response and the differential function.
@@jeffpaulo1 awesome man ! thanks for telling all that info it’s always cool to learn more about my car ? and love it man i’ve gotten a lot of compliments on the pure red i honestly love the paint!
@@STi._Crisyea man, I had a choice of world rally blue as first option. Unfortunately when I was on the market to buy an STI it got sold. Only ones left for me was black and red. So I chose red because it’s the most aggressive and race car looking out of all! PURE RED STI ftw!
@@jeffpaulo1 same here man i wanted that amazing blue but it got sold and found this amazing car that i now own 😍good to know there’s people that watch my videos that know their stuff 💪🏼
I just dropped 6K on an entire package of functional mods to go with my Tomei Ti Expreme Type D. Installing everything this weekend. You don't have to remove the springs, just put rubber tubing around them. The most recent install videos show what I mean.
