The Klabautermann bit is actually real life naval folk lore. They’re spirits that aid sailors on board but never make themselves seen. To see one physically was them telling you that the ship was near the end of its life.
9:23 I like that she actually notices this, most people watch the whole show and don't realize Sanji is always getting stuff done that needs to be done that the rest of the crew misses. 11:14 Yep, that's Oda.
I'm so jealous of you. You're about to embark on one of the greatest sections of one piece. You will laugh your head off, and you will cry your eyes out.
Now you finally get an answer to who fixed the Going Merry. The Klabautermann is from German Folklore and I like how Oda sprinkles a little supernatural elements into the story that aren't Devil-Fruit based.
I remember Binging this arc and the next in three days-no sleep- on my first ever watch. I was hooked to the point I didnt even wanna move from the screen. This arc is specifically what sealed One Piece as my favorite anime of all time
21:57 I always remember the scenes that make me cry but this one slipped my mind and it caught me off guard in your reaction, so it hit me hard af and I started crying Merry's love for the crew and their love for her always gets to me
Ripped pants is a good reference, it even fits! "When big Franky came just to put him down, Usopp turned on up his frown" Yeah I can finally answer "Yes, you will cry over a ship". Also yeah nothing is going right for the crew at the moment, or anyone honestly, dang CP9, dang government! Hope your year is off to a great start!
Oh god cant wait to see you get to THAT episode of this arc, well THOSE episodes cause there’s a few. I don’t think your prepared to cry that hard lmao
One thing I don't think people quite appreciate is Queen Blaze seems to have a near perfect memory for narrative. The ability to recall and point out movies and references to individual scenes is INSNE
I think Usopp struggles to let go of Going Merry because it's the last thing he has from home, and he promised Kaya that he'd take care of it. First time I saw this episode, I bawled. This time? Nope, still bawled.
Such a great arc, and we're about to get to one of (maybe not THE, but certainly one of) the best parts of it. Love your reactions and can't wait for the next video!
I legit thought you dropped this at 630am. Woke me up. Just been sitting here. One of _those_ days. Can't tell if its morning or night. Unrelated fun, tragic story that I feel godawful about, but still makes me laugh, then feel worse. Few days ago, visited one of my friend's friends. Don't see each other much, but bro's been worried about him. Guy looked like a nutjob. His place had that male cat lady without the cats energy. Dude's been having nervous breakdowns. And while we're making small talk, suddenly, you hear Biden's disembodied voice say "hello." And dude flipped out. "You heard that? YOU HEARD THAT RIGHT! OH GOD, YESSSSSS!" and Queen, I felt like someone just stabbed me in the gut. About a year ago, we were all hanging out. Got pretty zooted. I had picked up a doodad from... i think it was Spencers? earlier that day. Build your own music card. You used an app to set the soundclip, and you could set it to trigger (for the card opening) or timer-mode. Dude kept falling asleep on us, so I set it for 5 minutes, and used the Biden "hello" clip. Was gonna hold it to his ear and wake him up with it. But it never played, and I was too toasty to troubleshoot it. I konked out on the couch. Couldn't find the voice box in the morning. Haven't seen dude since. And just figured the speaker got tossed in the trash, or just disappeared. Didn't cross my mind again. It didn't work, after all. But. It did. It slid between the couch cushions, and ended up in the middle of the springs. I was high. I did *not* set it for 5 minutes. I set it for 5 hours. *EVERY* 5 hours. And for a year, this guy has torn apart his house, looking for where that voice is coming from, and slowly going nuts. And.... thats on me. I got that sh*t out of his couch when he went to the bathroom, but I said *nothing.* I honestly don't know how. So I'mma take that My-B, and his L both to my grave. Now I'm worried he's gonna think his ghost left him. Wasn't even worth haunting. Aaand just like that, I can hear housekeeping getting my motel 6 room in Hell ready.
OH MY GOD. I swear satan is calling me because that’s just horrible but the terrible part of me can’t stop laughing!! I’ve read this to many times and now I’m going to go sit in a corner and think about life. Oh my god 😂😂😂😂😂. Ok I’m done
Get one answer, get two new questions. That’s one thing that’s consistent in One Piece. When we ever get the big answers, it’s incredibly satisfying though. There are some questions from the beginning of the series that still have yet to be answered… Even so, Oda never forgets, so there’ll always be an answer to a question we have. The ride is what it’s all about. - Also, we all love Merry. She’s a true nakama.
Robin Saaaaaan?? Also just gonna put this out here cos I've had kind of a bad experience. How many relate to this: I wish people would just freaking communicate. Things are easy and get solved if people do but impossible and don't get solved when people don't. This is why we can't have nice things :D.
I can totally relate! Something so easy but sometimes so hard to do. Especially if you don't want to hurt the other person feeling. But I feel even hurt if you didn't tell me anything.
YEAH! And in my case it's not even like that. People just refuse to communicate or give any feedback no matter if you ask so issues that could be so easy to arrange together which in a poll majority said they would want to solve are impossible. This seems like more of a norm in this world. I don't freaking get it. And now the majority gets the end result they didn't want and we are just gonna go with it.🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️😂😂😂.
Robin, Robin, Robin....all I got to say is that she is definitely the highlight of this arc. ✨️ BUT what Luffy and his crew is about to do is even more epic!!! Especially, Luffy! I really love his character development. All I gotta say is pay close attention to how he responds to situations b/c that os key 💯
- Ripped my pants. The other I sat down and I ripped my pants, I got those for at least 10 years, maybe more. Anyway, this arc... It just keep hitting us on our hearts! Chill out, Oda, please!!
This is going to be a glorious time. I have zero interest in even letting a single peep of a hint of anything. I just want to see your reaction for this entire arc and the next one. So I'll just drop a very standard: Thank you for picking up this show, it's fun watching you react to it all.
This was so wild it was like a murder mystery at the same level as like "murder on the orient express" but made for an anime/manga. Every twist every character every reveal had me cheering and hype af on the edge of my seat.
Robin is running away from government since long time, right now she spent with Luffy less than 3 weeks. At this point it's completely normal that her fear is bigger than trust on Luffy.
These uploads are making my day lately so thanks and i can't wait for you to to see where this awesome story goes There are ups ands downs but its so worth it Hope everybody is doing great 🤙
If you noticed we've had two women betray the crew, Nami and now Robin. I wonder if Oda will do it again? 🤔 Hmmmmm... 16:12 Anyway, Franky's American and Oda is definitely watching all us Americans cry our eyes out over the news about Merry, Ussop, and Robin
Little Info. Klabauter(mann) is male. Klabauter(frau) is female. Merry is actually a boy but in real life history, all ships are referred as female, such as cars, motorcycle ect..
Crying over the possible loss of Merry already? Yeah, we all did at some point. Well, most of us anyway. It's incredible how quickly we went from "That ship's probably going to need to be replaced pretty soon" to "wait, what? No! I didn't mean it!" This arc is a helluva ride. I've watched it through many reactors' eyes, and I have yet to get bored. It's a roller coaster, as only Oda can write.
