the same about for the type of plant you are using, or if u get nutrients specifically for hydroponics, read that bottle and it will tell u how much per gallon to add.
yes of course! :) try using compost tea. also the trace elements such as iron will not diffuse into the system properly so look for chelated trace nutrients. im pretty sure you can find them in a drug store. also try using fish waste. this technique is known as aquaponics. the fish wastes will naturally add nutrient to the water the plant will take up. im not sure about the amounts through, it all depends on what type of plant u r growing and the size of your system.
not sure what other products u might have, but if u look on the back of the bottle, somewhere on the label it should say what it contains, if not, ask someone who works at the store about it.
ok, lettuce doesn't require a lot of nutrients, but it does require more nitrugen for leaf growth. look for a fertilizer with a 10-5-5 nutrient ratio (that being 10 par nitrogen, 5 parts phosphorus, and 5 parts potassium) this should be enough to grow your lettuce plants
all plants need different fertilizer types, what nutrient u need depends on what u r growing, so i cant say exactly what u need because i don't know what u plan to grow.
