It's a beautiful city with quite a history. Seeing all the wonderful architecture there one would never guess the city was so badly damaged in WW1. You always surprise. I hadn't heard of the city and watched your video with my mouth open. After that, I looked up Google Maps to see how far Leuven was from Mannheim😣 . you missed the grand beguinage. The oldest part of leuven, It's a walled of 13th century town within the city, The university bought and renovated all of the buildings and now it's like stepping into a medieval town. Especially when the evening falls. It's actually one of the biggest remaining beguinages in the low countries. It's not really a tourist attraction, the university rents out the properties to Guest professors, and students alike a believe. So the town is still being lived in. But during the evening it's a great place for a romantic walk lol.

thanks as always. i often wonder how europe might be had the 2 world wars not destroyed so much. A shame that humans never seem to learn and we are still killing each other :( Belgium is a very nice place, i was very pleasantly suprised especially by the amazing gothic architecture I saw everywhere.
