Kinda late to the party, but being a lower rank doesn't mean you are bad even if you are stuck there. Some people can naturally be good at the basics of fighting games, they still need to learn all the options and movement though. Like, if the best brawlhalla player would pick up a smash game, they will be pretty good due to their fighting game knowledge but probably not win tournaments due to their smash game knowledge, if you know what I mean.
