Level 42 Something About You Reaction 

Our band in the 80s played Level 42 songs. We were one of the only bands to try and attempt their music. It was a badge of honor now cos their music is so complete. Layers of different rhythms and just crazy production quality

I recommend World Machine, Staring at the Sun, Running in the Family and their live album A Physical Presence if you want to explore more. Mark King is a phenomenal bass player

"Something About You," is my all-time favorite pop song. Also check out their earlier disco funk track "Weave Your Spell." The keyboardist Mike Lindup sings lead on that one.

I have about 10 to 13 bands that I absolutely love and have all their CDs and Level 42 is one of them. RUSH being my favourite of them all. These guys are just a funk/pop machine with brilliant musicianship and one of the best bass players in the world. Mark King is a monster and guess who is one of his favourite bass players? You guessed it Geddy Lee. Neil Peart was also well documented to enjoy Level 42s music buy stating that Phil Gould is an amazing drummer and that he makes it look so easy when he plays yet its quite technical. I could go on about level 42 forever but one thing is for sure,they are one of a kind. PS if your not sure what to play at a party just put on Level 42s cd Level Best and everyone will be happy lol!

I’ve been into Level 42 since the 80s. I saw them open for Steve Winwood back in ‘86. Great show… Mark King is one of my top favorite bass players. Another song of theirs you’d really like is “You Can’t Blame Louis”. It again features plenty of bass throughout.

Make sure you WATCH Mark King play that bass. It's like an event on its own. He's been rocking it for nearly 40 years.

Great jazzy rock pop group. Good rabbit hole to go down. One or my favorite groups. Mark is an underrated vocalist and a killer bassist.

This a great pop tune from 1986. Level 42 is a good group in general.

On the album it's from (World Machine), it goes from A Physical Presence into Something About You, fantastic when you listens to them both together. A Physical Presence has some very groovy bass parts in it.

Wait while he finds out that the amazing bass player from the mr pink video is also the lead singer and does both at the same time😮 also mark king is left handed but plays right handed and is an amazing drummer 🤯🤯🤯🤯

This is from World Machine, which I think is a fantastic title, and the title song is killer, the baseline, it's so funky,..the ENTIRE album is incredible, well produced, well done, I put it in the basket with the Minute By Minute album, Aja by Steely Dan, one of the examples of how innovation continued into the 80's, like it had in the 70's, 60's, the innovation wheel was still rolling,..do keep going, knew you would like this and appreciate the quality of production,..Godspeed, Peace ✌

Warrning! Hidden gem. Simply the Best is a song written by Holly Knight and Mike Chapman for Bonnie Tyler. Before well known Tina version was released. Holly had a great songs with her band. This music is flying. Device - When love is good, Didn't I read you right. Everyone on this channel will be impressed by this forgotten songs. I promice. 22B3 Album is stunning.
