You know what, I think he will Roll but I am not 100% sure on that but what it sounds like, Niantic wants every Pokémon to have a little individuality about it so having it roll around would make complete since. Does it roll in Lets Go?
I was thinking the same thing 😂 Thankfully, it seems as if your buddy moves around quite a bit, so it shouldn't be too much of a hassle, unless you're not paying attention (like I would end up doing), or if your buddy stands next to a spawned pokemon, that might get annoying.

My buddy will be my shiny Absol (my all time favorite pokemon) or my shiny alolan meowth because I like cats, just as you. Togepi will be adorable as well.

It does sound pretty great. But I'm a rural player so I'm afraid I wont be able to do many of the features with my buddy, I'm afraid it might end up being a chore. I'm going to have Denio I grew up with the original 100 and something like many of us but I found a new love in Denio cute first evolve 2nd is great as well. Into a flying dark dragon mmmm I cannot wait! I'm hype
This buddy system sounds really interesting and new for me, as I only played Red/Blue & Gold/Silver in terms of the main series games (and that was almost 20 yes ago). I have a feeling this system will be how Mega Evolutions get introduced into Go, as that whole dynamic is based around trust & synchronicity between a trainer & their Pokemon ... Or my brain is overstimulated & I'm reading too much into it **shrug**
My OG first Pokémon. The charmander I got from old man Willow in June of 2016. She’s a maxed 40 Charizard now. Over 2,000km walked. 25,000 battles won. I’ve battled across three continents with that Pokémon, how could she not be my first best buddy
I am working on the feebas field research task, so that may be my first buddy. My son has Kabuto as his buddy right now and he really wants to see it evolved. It will be fun to see ditto interact with other buddies.
My first buddy will be my shiny Farfetch'd that I hatched during that regional shiny event that happened semi recently. He means a lot to me because he was my moment of happiness in the midst of stress over my horrible medical issues that I've been dealing with this year. I have already walked 333 kilometers with him because that is my lucky number, and I'm excited to bring him along with me again!!
I am so freaking hyped for this!!! My buddy has been my shiny Arcanine for almost 1000 km now so, I'll be keeping her as my buddy for this. And now I get to interact with her.....I'm just freaking excited I cannot wait! 😊
When I see this feature I can’t stop thinking about Sylveon, I know it is gen 6 but I’m pretty sure it will be the way to evolve our lil eevees into This cute blue/pink (shiny or not x)) eyed ribbon cat thing 🎀 🐱 🧚♀️ 😍 but anyway I can’t wait to see my little baby Litwick walking with me it will be so cuuuute 🥰🥰😱
Awesome addition to game play, the one thing that would make this feature even better is a chat feature with ultra or higher friends would greatly improve things. Thoughts?
I was just thinking how the buddy feature should be more rewarding like the more KM you have walked together the more candy you should receive for hitting the milestone being 1 - 2 - 3 - 5km etc
I am praying for an uneven CP boost, for example if your buddy is a Shuckle then it's CP could be boosted by 1000%, while if you choose a Rayquaza it's boost would be only 3% or sg. So if your buddy is not s strong pokemon it could still participate in raids, fights.
william will probably follow you until he finds the green screen. as for the animations for all of the pokemon in this buddy feature, all pokemon have walking and running animations, as well as interaction animations from pokemon amie/refresh/camp coded in the main series so (i cant say for certain that this is true but logically makes sense) these are probably those animations
Shiny maxed out lucky charizard. Been my favorite pokemon for a long time and given to me by my wife so extra special. Cant wait for him to fly around on screen. Also thanks for the Wynaut now he joins my wobs of the world collection where I have them from gifts from all over the world.
I have fallen seriously behind in a my poketuber vids but had to comment on this one...omg I had wanted this since the start! All I ever wanted was to have a pokemon walking along side me!!! I renamed combee in memory of the young lady that lost her life in nz, combee is now ultra buddy!
They need to add buddy merch so like you can dress your buddy or have merch you can wear of your buddy btw I'm probably using shiny mudkip or shiny alolan sandshrew

I always want to use cute Pokémons like Buneary just for they are cute, but I do not know if that is smart or dumb, I never seen cute pokemons being really useful :)

The Pokemon I need Candys from. Currently Terrakion, after that Regirock and then Mewtwo again... And after I have enough candies, I will throw them out.
Once I walk the next 130km I need to get my Chandlure, I'll probably go back to my shiny Mewtwo. I love Mewtwo and it's been my favorite Pokemon since I played red as a kid.
