LEVEL CROSSING | Plimmerton Station | NEW Pedestrian Crossing 

Plimmerton Station is undergoing massive redevelopment works to add in a thrid platform, which has necessitated the replacement of the pedestrian level crossing here. The original set-up with two crossings (one for the southbound track and one for the northbound track) has gone, with the new set-up only having a crossing on the northbound line, with no more access to cross the southbound tracks. The new crossing is to the latest, safest design with automatic gates and button-controlled emergency exits.
