You have a card chosen and replaced in the pack. The cards, in clear view, are gently waved, and half the pack slowly disappears. Another wave of the remaining cards and all the cards vanish. Except one. The selection.

I do this trick with slight of hand + miss direction .. Never thought a gimmick would be good .. Everyone I've performed it for enjoys it ... But more physically visual instead hhhmm

now if only you have the ability to execute the manipulation necessary to perform this. Forget it if you have small hands or arthritic fingers. I have practised this for more than a month and simply do not have the ability to do it properly. Also, the angles are limited. Great looking, depending on where you are standing and your ability to use your fingers skillfully.

It certainly does take some work. However, I've found it to be good with angles. There is a slightly iffy angle on the right if surrounded, but I find this with many effects that have a visual aspect to them. Not for everyone though.

I love the gimmick and how the trick looks, but it is VERY knacky. With quite a bit of practice I still just can't get things to do what I want. I'm hoping that at some point it will click like you say, but ugh...it can be really frustrating when something that looks SO simple just doesn't come together like you think it should.

It's great that you produce these videos, but they aren't really reviews. When you say things like "it's not what I thought it was and it's a good thing" well, >we< don't know if it's a good thing. Why not just tell us what the gimmick is so we can evaluate if it's worth buying or not. I've bought over 4,000+ ticks over the years, 2/3rd I never perform because once I saw the gimmick I realized it wasn't for me. Sometimes I would see a video of a trick and when I got the product, the device made a noise while using it that would ruin any performance because the public would know something isn't right. You say "we've got a lovely method, well, in my opinion" that's great, but how are we supposed to judge for ourselves? The world isn't going to end if you produce your videos in such a way where were can actually evaluate if a product is worth getting or not or see what the device/gimmick is, otherwise it's just a promotional video for the product/advertising. It's a gimmick obviously so is this better than Aaron Fisher's Panic? it is the same type of gimmick? Do I need to buy this if I already own other vanishing deck tricks? I mean it's nice that magicians create 27 variations of the mystery box, but I don't need to buy ow own 27 versions. In this day and age where a 12 year old kid will make a reveal video on youtube and it does f*ckall to the art of prestidigitation, having REAL reviews showing the actual products and gimmicks will not kill or harm sales (what hurts sales is knock-offs). Who watches your channel? magicians and more than likely the target audience who will buy this, not mister and miss average joe. You seem to be a great guy, love what you're trying to do, but it's NOT Real Magic Review, it's more like "Real Magic Impressions" or "Real Magic Previews". In any case, it's your channel, you do what you want. Just wanted to express my opinion on your "Reviews" (which I do appreciate if not for the fact that I am exposed to products I might not be aware of, since most of the brick & mortar magic shops where I live no longer exist).

Hi Samuel. Thanks for your comment. I think it just comes down to having a different idea of what a review is. As I've said many times, it's just one person's opinion. I take the trick out, usually, and give you my opinion of how it feels and works. I try to give you some pros and cons, and give you an overview of quality, again from my point of view. I do disagree that I should expose the whole thing and then you make up your mind. This would be a demonstration and not a review. A movie reviewer doesn't expose every aspect of the plot, play the whole movie and then ask you to make up your mind. The same way as a food reviewer doesn't give you a taste of the food. My point is that a review is always going to be a subjective opinion, with as much objectivity as possible. The objectivity comes from how useable the effect is, or if there are any inconsistencies or inaccuracies between the advertising copy and the reality of the product. I also try to use the product as a springboard for discussion. Which is why I welcome your comment. I would really like to do more comparisons to other products, however, I feel that an even longer running time may be a problem. I also admit that I haven't used all of the effects on the market, so it's difficult for me to provide the complete picture. I do believe that these are reviews, but they are not perfect or exhaustive. The key for me is that I am as accurate as possible, with the time I have, and more importantly, that people enjoy watching them. Thanks again and have a great day.

@@samuelshafik2778 i feel what you are saying but if you are as into magic as much as you claim then you know showing the gimmick is in extremely poor taste and for good reason. Also if you have bought that many tricks and know all that you must know and you like this and can't perform it and would like to then it's obviously not like anything you already have and maybe you should just buy it.

I get where you're coming from Sam, but a review is simply 'a critical appraisal' not a full exposure. Movie reviews do the same - they give an opinion on the film, some comments about quality and style, and a general rating. They say what the film is about, but they don't tell you the whole plot of the film including the ending! I share your frustration with not always knowing what you're buying though. Yes sometimes I do wish I'd had the chance to see 'behind the curtain'. That's a general problem with buying magic, not a specific issue that Steve is responsible for. I think there's a deeper issue in fact - it's the abuse of the notion of 'hiding the secret' that allows unscrupulous sales copy to mislead purchasers. I wish there was a solution for that. But perhaps the solution lies in your own hands? If you perform and you've got over 4,000 tricks, how about making some reviews yourself? Perhaps the type of reviews you're asking Steve to make?
